Just installed 2 x 2012r2 vm servers side by side. After going to Windows update, the first install offered up 66 updates the second 133, lol. All updates have installed now and I am not being offered anymore. These are direct to MS updates (no WSUS) Not really bothered just find this sort of thing interesting and rather common.

We just had an incident at school where it really looked like a parent was going to punch a teacher. There were enough staff around to pull them apart had something kicked off, but I noticed a few teachers and parents reaching for their phones, presumably to record the incident. If they had recorded would this be an DP issue, seeing as the people involved had not consented? Would the Police still be able to use the video as evidence?

When you have the issue, do you get a yellow triangle over the network icon near the clock?

So I should have pointed the finger at Capita and not my LA, well I never, who would have thought :0P

These companies need to segregate Education data and say they will never access educational data unless the school consents.

Same as last couple of posts. We only have one DC in each primary and I have done this a few times without issue. I have also shrunk a drive, which is a little more complicated, as someone had set the DC up with +1TB on the DC's C drive.

I now have patch 25058 in Solus, YAY.

Sorry I have been emailed some contradictory information from my LA. Do I need to install Patch 25040 if I have already installed the Sims summer install? Everything else I have read says it is part of the Sims update, so does that mean it will have installed with the Sims summer update or do I now need to install the patch? Cheers

On a side note, I read that it's not the best idea to use full stops in email addresses as some email servers ignore them and some don't. Could just be my junk memory, so sorry if it is :0P

Just for balance, I am upgrading all our other servers to 2019 but leaving the SIMS server until it's officially supported. Our LA who we have our support through, love an excuse not to help and this would be one of those times.

I deployed it to 4 schools this weekend. Wonder what joys are heading my way on Monday.

I would do an in place upgrade or install as separate but my big advice would be to jump to 2019. I recently installed 2016 at 2 schools and I hate it already.

You can use Google photos and save an unlimited amount of photos for free if you choose to reduce the file size. The file size is still 16mp which is more than enough for most users.

I have a remote users (Governor) who has said they can't move any files from Shared Drives to their Team Drives, but when I try it works for me fine. In Shared Drives they are content manager and I am a manager, does that make a difference?

Just had a message back from Google. The account not only needs to be 2FA but you also need to have 2FA forced in the security settings. Not got time to test yet but though I would pass on.

Might just be me, but I can't see the attached error. I am using the app so might be why I can't see it.

On one of our computers (remote desktop) we are getting the following error message when trying to export a VAT report from FMS to save as excel. 'Missing or out-of-date export dll' FMS is fine on the schools other computers. Any ideas as I have not had anything back from our support in a week

I get the same result at each of the primary schools. We tick all the export requirements.
