I used Test-AppLockerPolicy and it reported that all packages except Edge are allowed.

I have Windows 10 locked down pretty tight with GPOs, one of which denies access to lots of Windows Apps, including Microsoft Store. I should mention that when my image is deployed, lots of built-in features are disabled. This PC has has Microsoft Store package reinstalled. On one particular PC I need to allow access to Microsoft Store as it's going to be used with an app that is available through it. When I attempt to start it, I get "This app has been blocked by your system administrator". In Event Viewer, it says: Unable to start a DCOM Server: Microsoft.WindowsStore_11712.1001.16.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe!App as Unavailable/Unavailable. The error:"1260"Happened while starting this command:"C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsStore_11712.1001.16.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\WinStore.App.exe" -ServerName:App.AppXc75wvwned5vhz4xyxxecvgdjhdkgsdza.mca I have the following policies in place: Application Control - Appx Rules - Allowed all signed packaged apps, Deny Windows.ContactSupport, Deny Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge and Deny Microsoft.Windows.Cortana. Windows Components/Store - I previously had 'Disable all apps from Windows Store' and 'Turn off the Store application' enabled, they are both now Not Configured. For the PC in question, I have an enforced GPO that includes 'Disable all apps from Windows Store' and 'Turn off the Store application' as Disabled. Has anyone got any ideas?

I know this thread is about HP servers, but it's worth noting that Dell offer free lifetime telephone support for their servers, they just can't give you replacement parts without a warranty. Basically they will help you troubleshoot and tell you what parts you need to get and how to fit them.

I half solved this, thanks to everyone's help. I solved this by: Sorting the computer accounts into security groups by room (they were already in room OUs but not groups). Created three new groups, one for each new printer Assigned the room groups to the printer groups based on where I want those rooms to print to Created three new GPOs to assign the printers, under the PC OU. Enabled loopback processing on them Deployed the relevant printer to them in the user configuration Filtered the GPO for the Pupil security group and the relevant newly created 'computers for xxx printer' group The reason I said its only half done is because I still need to deploy the printers as preferences rather than through Print Management so I can set the mono queue as default. Okay I get that (that's actually a really clear explanation!). What I don't understand is how to use this to do what I want. I still need a way stop staff from getting the physical printers deployed to them. If I deploy a physical printer to users on the Room 10 computer policy with loopback enabled, they will still get the physical printers the same as if I'd deployed the physical printers to the computers. Does that make sense? I need a way for only the pupils to have the physical printers deployed to them.

Can you explain how loopback processing would work in this situation? I've ready quite a bit about it but I've never been able to fully understand it. The virtual printer queues are deployed as user policy for staff (for secure printing purposes, they can print to it and retrieve their printouts at any printer they like by swiping their fob), but pupils need to be able to print to a specific printer for immediate release. Its Papercut MF.

We've just had some new MFPs installed to replace 15 or so classroom printers. There are 3 of them, and there's two virtual queues, one for mono and one for colour, so that staff can go to any printer and release their prints. I've done this via Print Management (so it's a user policy). We don't want pupils to have to do anything to release their prints, so I've deployed the closest physical MFPs to classroom OUs. Again, this is through Print Management but this time its a computer policy. One issue I'm having are that the physical printers are appearing for staff (as well as the virtual queues), because they're getting the user and computer policies. I have a feeling WMI filters may come into play here but I can't think how. The other issue is that the colour printer is being set as the default, I need the mono printer to be the default. Because I'm deploying via Print Management on the print server, it uses the policies part of the GPOs and everything I've read says you can't set a default printer when doing it this way. Everything seems to suggest deploying via GP preferences, which is feasible and may not even be possible as they are virtual printers. I don't want to go down that route anyway, I like to manage everything from Print Management. Has anyone got any suggestions? Thanks.

Well I removed the 'Users' permission from the root of the file server and that's fixed it. That's a new one for me! Thanks for all the help.

I thought that too, but doesn't 'Users' mean local users on the file server? Of which there aren't any? The pupils are obviously all domain users.

For some reason I'm really struggling with permissions today. I could use a second set of eyes. I've created a new drive that is mapped via group policy. Teaching staff will have write access, pupils will have read access. I've been reading about share vs NTFS permissions and the best practice seems to be to give authenticated users full control on the share permissions and do the actual restrictions on the NTFS permissions, because between the two the most restrictive permissions always gets applied. So that's what I've done, and on the NTFS permissions I've assigned the pupils group read only access. However, when I log on with a test pupil account, I can create files and folders on the drive. NTFS permissions: Effective access: As you can see from the effective access tool, the test pupil account has the read permissions but also 'create files/folders'...from somewhere. Has anyone got any ideas?

I've just had an email to say my warranty repaired Nexus 5x is ready to collect from a locker. It was the bootloop issue for me as well. I'm very tempted to sell it and put the money towards a Oneplus 5 but I'm not sure... Oneplus phones tend not to be supported with Android updates after a year.

Just tried my Nexus 5 (spare phone) Plusnet on ipv6-test.com. Plusnet uses EEs network, and according to the website my ISP is Orange GPRS. No IPv6 connectivity.

I still can't get this to work properly. I've installed the Server component on a server with key X (gets converted to Y) on port 443. I've installed the Agent and Console on my own PC but when I start the console and enter the IP address of the server, port and key (both X and Y) it says 'Incorrect server key'. Any ideas?
