Sorry, but it's fake. -
A fiver from me too. The hardest thing i had to do this year was see my 14 year old daughter in intensive care. The operation was a success though.

@ Witch My mistake it's a spudger. A tool for prying and poking and opening.
-
I'd recommend a plastic spludger rather than a metal screwdriver as there is less chance of damaging the plastics.

Dell laptops are one of the easiest makes to take apart. They will use similar sized screws. The easiest way is to draw a rough shape of the laptop on some A4 and when you unscrew the screws place them on the paper in the position where they came out. Remove the screen and lid assembly first, this will involve removing the keyboard to free up the wireless cables and some screws around the hinges. Remove all the screws from the bottom of the laptop and maybe a couple from the top. A couple of ribbon cables will possibly need disconnecting and the laptop should then crack apart. I run my nail down the gap to open it up. I repair most of the laptops here in the school and repair lots outside, any questions feel free to ask.

Try a Linux disc like Mint. This will show if it is hardware or software.

Check the firmware on the APs. We had the same HP access points and improved reliability with a firmware update.

Chin up Little-Miss managing a network on your own, however big or small is no small task. I can think of techs with years of experience that would struggle to do such a thing.

Perhaps the previous owner had an ATI card installed ? Look in Programs and Features at the control panel and see if there is any ATI software installed.

Before the unclean water dries and the corrodes the motherboard. Clean it with some alcohol which evaporates leaving no residue. This is from experience of several leaks on several of the PCs here.

[android] Galaxy S3 battery troubles.
difinity replied to difinity's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
Avast hasn't found anything. I am using GSam battery monitor but it's showing nothing out of the ordinary. Even if it wasn't sleeping it should still be able to charge up under normal usage. I left it on charge all night, screen off, wi fi off, all services off and it only managed to get to 45% charge. I'm thinking a factory restore is the only way. -
[android] Galaxy S3 battery troubles.

Sorry should have said. GPS is off. Not hot, 25.3C according to OS monitor. -
2 days ago, for some unidentified reason the battery on my Galaxy S3 (running 4.4.1) began to drain at an alarming rate, (faster than it would charge) Under the battery monitor the top usage shows gpsd. I have Googled about and uninstalled all my apps that use gps and at present have wifi off, screen brightness turned right down and any services turned off, effectively turning it into a dumb phone. Has anyone got any ideas or suggestions ? What is the easiest way of backing up my phone and doing a restore ? Thanks.
