  1. Sorry to whoever gave me negative rep for my link above. I do apologise for it being "just annoying", and hope that I haven't offended you in such a way that you'll track me down and take a butchers knife to my goolies. However, if the link riles you up that much (which I can completely understand why it would), please take the left gooly as it doesn't function as well as it's partner. Many thanks
  2. Been using Moodle flawlessly for ages, and earlier this year we set up NTLM without any glitches. The teachers/students loved not having to enter a username/password again! Anyhow, come back from summer and some members (only some) of staff get a dialog to login to moodle - they don't get the normal moodle login screen even. This dialog doesn't even let them in with the correct user/password. Does anyone have any ideas why this might be? Nothing has changed really, especially nothing that suggests its only a few members of staff.
  3. I'm not sure the vote closed until the end of the year. I think the prize is £50 for winning the monthly with £1000 if he wins the yearly competition - both will go nicely into his little saving account
  4. Wow, a whole 15 votes from my extended family so far. I love you guys
  5. You can have a thanks. A pint of beer doesn't mail so well!
  6. That's what I said wasn't it?
  7. It is and it isn't. It's nice to win things like this, and the studio basically said "whoever has the biggest family usually wins" which is understandable. Thing the studio (nor any other family) didn't realise is I have one of the biggest families in the world with this place being my home
  8. Okay, the prize is £50 for winning the monthly comp, then a tasty grand if he wins the yearly one! Keep them coming so uncle can be rich with beer!
  9. To be honest, I'm not even sure what the prize is. If it's £50 then by the time he turns 18 he'll not even be able to buy a beer for that! Might have to settle for a lollypop or something. Told my brother that he looks drunk, and may get more votes if he let me photoshop a bottle of Brown Ale into his hands. My brother declined.
  10. Hope they correct it! Otherwise it's not really fair....
  11. Anybody else want a +1 to their thanks? You know what to do!
  12. Anything with Jason Stratham Snatch Lock Stock Pulp Fiction Rocky!!! This is England
  13. We replaced an aged projector in the summer, but we had to buy a universal mount (it was so old it came with a 'this will only fit this projector' mount). The new one needed the bolt hole drilling bigger (thanks DT!), but it came with a variety of screws to fit all projectors. If it's not urgent I could mail you the ones we have spare?
  14. I think it's just a local competition held by the studio he got the shots done in - but the more votes the merrier. Thanks for the votes so far...... I can taste the beer now.

    Help Me

Apparently, if my nephew wins this competition he gets some money for his savings, and he said (although he can't talk yet, I have a hand print) that if I posted up here and got loads of people to vote for him he's get me TEN pints of beer when he turned 18! If you want to vote, and help baby nephew get to the top then you just need to enter your name and email - no mobile number is required. 16. Hi folks, I'm taking a peak into Android, and have two views. I have main.xml and newsselection.xml When the user clicks a button from the main view, I want it to load the newsselection view which will show a stream of news items. Also, when the user presses the back button (the hard one on the device), I want it to go back to the screen before. Something like this kind of structure: Main.xml |________ newsselection.xml ____________ singleitemnewsview.xml |________ anotherxml.xml So if the user was as far down as singleitemnewsview.xml and pressed the hard back button it would go up a level to newsselection.xml, and once more would take them up to main.xml Would this be done using a viewswitcher method? Or would it be achieved by starting a new activity for each new view? I'm struggling to find docs on this one, so hope someone can help. Thanks,
  17. Well, I scanned the servers and they are all clean (phew). So I have just rebuild the offending machines (only three of them), and now everything is tickety boo. Not sure it was Malware/Spyware, but a rebuild always does the trick with RM
  18. I went for option 3, although not technically correct. We're all IE7 here. We tried to update to IE8 over summer but ran into difficulties. The reason I chose option 3 though is because we actively want to update to IE8, and hope to do so in October half-term.
  19. Just tried to install Spybot S&D on one of the problem machines and got a similar error: Access to C:\DOCUME~1\SYSTEM~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\is-I6UE6.tmp\spybotsd162.tmp has been restricted by your Administrator by location with policy rule {f8a64836-49e0-42a8-8036-310de3ec7f77} placed on path C:\Documents and Settings\systemadmin\Local Settings\Temp\* Same goes for trying to install MalwareBytes on the same machine: Access to C:\DOCUME~1\SYSTEM~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\is-A2OJ8.tmp\MalwareBytes.tmp has been restricted by your Administrator by location with policy rule {f8a64836-49e0-42a8-8036-310de3ec7f77} placed on path C:\Documents and Settings\systemadmin\Local Settings\Temp\*
  20. The path exists, however the file in the error does not exist. I can manually add a file (i.e. test.txt) to the path so that proves the user has write permissions on this area.
  21. Yes - completes successfully, but still doesn't allow the updates to run, and produces same error in Event Viewer
  22. I'm trying to update SIMS.net on a laptop, and I'm getting the error: Access to C:\DOCUME~1\SYSTEM~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\GLB5.tmp has been restricted by your Administrator by location with policy rule {f8a64836-49e0-42a8-8036-310de3ec7f77} placed on path C:\Documents and Settings\systemadmin\Local Settings\Temp\* in event viewer. This user account has, and is still, successfully updating SIMS.net on other machines. It just seems to be this machine. The funny thing is, I've tried manually creating a file in this location and it writes as expected. Tried health checking policies/users/workstations, and obviously restarts. Anybody got any ideas before I commit to a rebuild?
  23. Ours is set as low as it will go - 19C. I'd probably say you want it as cool as it'll go.
