  1. I went to get started with Androids AppInventor today, and followed the instructions to set up my phone/computer. Once everything was done I clicked the link to continue and load the interface used to design apps, but all that appeared was a blank page in FF. In IE a blank page also appeared, but it threw an error too that said "object expected". I have followed the instructions and everything is set up (according to Google), and I have had an email saying I now have access to the app. Any one come across this/have any ideas?
  2. My brother claims that as well. He was always smashing glasses so probably has saved money in doing the laser eye thing.
  3. I was prescribed glasses for computer use about 5 years ago. Had another eye test about 2 years ago and I was then told I no longer needed glasses. Once a specky, not always a specky (in rare cases lol)
  4. To throw a spanner in the works..... surely giving out the WPA is just the same as a student/teacher bringing a personal laptop in, finding a port, and plugging it in? I'm not saying "do it, it'll be fine" - I'm saying if you're worried about one then surely it's also wise to worry about the other aswell.
  5. I'm quite pleased with how I've getten through my summer jobs. I have about 10 computers left to build, then walk around and turn everything on so every computer picks up the hotfixes (and SP3) that I've installed over summer. Couple of 5 minutes odd-jobs here and there, and then I think I'll take a look at the website/moodle/backup schema/esxi and do minor updates/make sure everything is working properly. Hoping to put in a holiday on Friday as well as I'm heading over to the lakes with the tent and the missus.
  6. @gizmo - are you earning commision here lol
  7. Our LA is moving to Kaspersky in the coming months, and I'm fairly excited about it because the additional features (as compared to our current solution) seem really useful.
  8. I use Joomla for our football club, and wish to have a section that shows a list of all the players (even better if it could show a list of photos of each player). When the player name/photo is clicked it should take the user to another page giving the bio on that player. Can't imagine something specific for football existing so would need to have custom fields too. There's a few extensions that do this with the user list, but I can't find one where it allows you to do it with manually inputted profiles. Can anyone point me to an extension that might do this?
  9. Only had about £75 from them as I've stopped ordering as much online, but definately worth it. Sometimes cash back takes a few months to come through, but when it does it's a great feeling.
  10. Sounds like a restore job mate Start digging through the backup media
  11. @TechGuy - you forgot the most important one in that list, please add it. 1984 - Hightower - Footballer & Geek
  12. I remember walking in my friends house a couple of years ago, and nobody was around. I wandered up to his bedroom and I heard in panting heavily. As I wandered in I just saw him lying in bed with his eyes wide open looking like he was in a state of sheer terror. I can't remeber exactly what I did after that but once he came around he explained what had happened to me, and I thought it quite bizarre. Not heard anything similar to this until reading this thread. I wonder if he still gets them, and even if he knows what they are. He explained that he thought he was having a heart attack but couldn't move to do anything about it.
  13. Where the frick is the birthday bot on this prestigious day?!
  14. I think you still need the backslashes if you are using a UNC path. Should be something like: XCOPY "C:\Folder\Files\*" "\\SERVER\SHARE\Folder\Files\*" /switch1 /switch2 /switch3 I always wrap my source/destination in quotes, but this is especially important if you have a space anywhere in either of the paths.
  15. Of course, you may have Unison payments and LGPS payments too if you subscribe to those.
  16. Well, the missus is still making up her mind. She says she'll have a decision come Friday, and as soon as she does (all being well) the house is going up on the market....
  17. Can't stand Elvis Presley - but that version is a classic.
  18. I saw that but figured that wasn't technically my problem. SP3 is installed as part of the build (slipstreamed) so technically the SP3 RM package shouldn't need to allocated because it's already on, therefore I shouldn't need to tweak dependencies - if that makes sense?!
  19. I could never get used to Wink - didn't like the way it would show everything frame by frame to work with at the bottom. 24 fps and you soon have a lot of frames to work with! Not sure if you can change the view/layout - suppose I never gave it a chance. CamStudio - Free Screen Recording Software is what I use - nice and simple, and no complaints yet from me.
  20. Morning folks, I've just done the SP3 updates here as per RM instructions. I've also slipstreamed SP3 into the build image on the server. Everything seems fine apart from the RM packages (such as RM LST etc) don't allocate straight away. Once the machine has built and the logon screen is shown, I have to restart each machine once more to pick up the RM packages that were left off. Anyone got any idea what this could be and how to resolve it? Thanks,
  21. I can't hold onto the house and rent it out - it would cost more to pay the mortgage than we'd get in rent. Plus, what good is it coming back to a mortgage with no job. I think the safest bet is definately selling up. At least that way I've got nothing to make me want to come back.
  22. Well, the ball is rolling on this. On Saturday I'm heading over to my brothers to book a scouting week in Cyprus for May. Going to do some serious research/talking/thinking about this over the weekend, and I hope to have made my decision this time next week. If we decide for Cyprus then the holiday will be a scouting mission for apartments and jobs, and if not, the holiday will be used as a holiday. I'm one of those people that, when I have made my mind up I go through with it - just like when I decided to tattoo myself - I bought the gear and just got on with it.
  23. When I last went to a Sikh place of worship, they said I could just wear a cap - as long as something covered my head. Obviously a cap is no good for a wedding (unless it's burberry haha - joke!). Tony looked quite smart with his red hanky - just do something similar to that. The temple I went to had a box full of different head wear that people could just sift through and find something they liked. I hope you have a good time. Sikhism is the faith that makes most sense to me, other than Catholocism. You'll meet some nice people I'm sure - after all, it's part of their faith to be pleasant and respectful to ALL.
