Having a issue at the minute when im on the server as admin and when im searching for files it keeps prompting me to enter my password. Ive replaced the folder permissions and told it to replace the permission of everything below but its still asking. Not sure if its related but one staff member every so often gets locked out of one of the shares. Any ideas? Edit. Its asking for a password to connect to the file server. Im searching a local drive and not going through the \\server\share name.

Moving away from vmware to hyper v. Looks like the vcenter converter only goes to vmware.

Anyone tried this on server 2016 yet? Wanting to convert sims server from vmware to hyperv. Cheers

Yep, and we have a lot of a certain brand where the touchpad is so sensitive. Browsed for a while and cant seem to find anything when you have the synaptics drivers installed.

Hi All, Has anyone found a way of disabling the pinch zoom on the touchpad? They've got the Synaptics touchpads and its driving everyone mad as they keep zooming in their desktops etc. Current looking through the registry to try and see something changing when I alter the setting. Thanks

Thanks Adam, That got me closer to getting it working but in the end had to do other things. It used to be so simple.

Doesn't seem to be doing it for new threads or replies now.

Just transferred the SIMS server onto the domain. We are running win 10 and office 2016. When users try to run reports they get a Error. Could not open macro storage I can however run these reports under my user. Office 16 doesn't have the 97 binaries but nothing is blocked in there. Have checked the simsroot folder. Their documents is redirected to the server and the MY SIMS Documents have been created in each of the users drives. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi All, Tried setting up offline files for staff laptops. When they try to make their files available offline it fails one folder. Ive just change file servers and have put al their old work in a folder on their new home drives. All of this cannot be found by the sync. Ive changed the owner to the user on this folder from admin to their username. Any ideas?

Of Windows? Standard. When creating new posts I'm typing but it keeps missing letters. The cursor when over the text box keeps flickering. Not tried on chrome yet as I hasn't yet stuck it on the network.

The site seems to be doing that thing again that when your typing it seems to be doing something so you have to type really slowly. Win 10 IE11

Just setup Remote App to and published a app. It appears in the web app and when I click on it, it logs me in. However before showing me the app it then disconnects me. Any ideas?

Hi All, Jut installed THE RDS Remote App. Added in a program but client can connect due to certificate error. Where on this new stupid GUI they have for remoteapp do you add certificates for rdp? Many thanks, Dan

Installing server 2016. First hyperv server installed and updated fine. Second hyper gets stuck at 23%, same with all virtuals on both servers. Even brought a server home as I know the schools internet connection is dodgy. Anyone had this with KB4015438? On,lay found 1 post on Google. Have just replaced our desktop printers in offices with the 477dw models. Very good so far. Had the x451 in the old school brought instead of leased and up until i left i dont think i had a single issue with it. Admin team loved it.
