Yeah Silverlight doesn't work with Edge or Chrome. Shooting themselves in the foot there it seems, but hey they could have their own propriety web browser style client. Be interesting to see what happens to the modules like NT6, Exams and FMS as well though.

SIMS SIMS is a windows only program so you either need to force the mac into windows with bootcamp, run a windows VM or Have a Remote Desktop Server Shared Folders/Mapped Drives You cannot make desktop shortcuts for drives as such, but you can drag them to the dock to force a reconnect, or add them as log in items so they always connect on login (when at the network) Printing Airprint is not needed for OSX/MacOS printing, we actually have windows printers will pull print queues shared directly from our windows server to the macs Office iWork is good, but some people do prefer to use Microsoft Office

You could also put in a Virtual Box VM for SIMS if you do not have an Remote Desktop server. You can also add the SMB shares as login items, so it automatically connects for him. Your biggest challenge will be SIMS. I used to run it in a Virtual Box VM (which was just our network image in there) but I have since switched back to a windows PC, just as I had enough of people's snidey comments about it. Do you already have an RDS solution in place?

All three books of Passing of the Technomages have been dispatched on Amazon. I am going to be a happy bunny as these really were not utilised fully in B5 (although there was a lot of promise in Crusade) I just need the time to read them.

I haven't tried it personally. I could never get the exported installer from SOLUS3 to work and always ended up deploying from the Console.

Just finished reading the Telepath Trilogy of books from Babylon 5. If you are a B5 fan and get the universe, I would highly recommend them, next step will be to see if I can get hold of the Technomage Trilogy of books.

Even unfiltered is filtered here. There are 3 levels of filtering. Student (both through web filter system and impero) Staff - allows uncategorised but still restricted Allow all - which still has some categories blocked at LA level and that has 5 people in it. Myself, two technicians, the head and the heads PA all of which are never going to have their access open on a projector in a teaching area that can be a risk to students. We have recently put on strict restrictions for YouTube unless you are logged into GAFE as staff. I would never risk it for general staff especially when people have said they have been searching for playful kittens and playful bunnies which we all know could show suspect images.
