  1. Gatwick is pretty much the transport hub and that is it, Trains and Planes mostly.
  2. Dear all suppliers. Our windowless office is looking a bit dull and ungeeky, we feel that some great advertising posters from the EduGeek suppliers would be awesome on the walls here. Any designs out there would be greatly appreciated, the geekier the better, any old marketing materials are good. We may even have the corner of old school (over my desk) for retro posters. Give us a shout if you have anything around you can send
  3. *waves from the south* and we are not dirty, lets not start a north v south war, as you have to come down here for BETT anyways ;-)
  4. I might be missing something here, but why go to Victoria when you can go straight from Gatwick to St Pancras?
  5. Gatwick is in the Thameslink (Brighton to Bedford) line so stops at London Bridge, Black Friars, St Pancras (cross the road for King Cross) and about 5 min walk to Euston. I think you can go from St Pancras straight to Shefield (the @VeryPC lot may be able to correct me there) It should be a relatively easy journey, no tube lines require. but I would use the national rail website to book tickets in advanced (much cheaper on the mainlines from london to the midlands)
  6. wow, that is just not nice at all, I would be looking and installing one from scratch but I know that take a long time.
  7. Haven't got viglen but recently had a demo unit of the Asus C201 come through and I am thoroughly impressed with it,
  8. What about deleting the share (just the share not the folder itself) resharing it with a different name and updating the mapped drive to that new share. I know that sounds stupid but you never know
  9. *EduGin* being supplied to @witch Just our of interest are the accounts logging on got Local or Roaming Profiles? I know it sounds stupid but maybe there is something nasty kicking around in a profile that could be causing it. Also do you know whether the BSOD occurs on a certain program they are using?
  10. I do not, but In theory you could with html coding and on ISS restrictions somewhere. If you PM me your email, I will send over a zip file of our stuff :-)
  11. I use this: EIGHT - start page - UPDATE by flatmo1 on DeviantArt with a working example here, but I modify it myself, which means it is kept under control a bit more, NTC Staff Launchpad students have one without the staff part set as their homepage and both pages are available as a link on the school website
  12. Black screening? As in not loading after logging in?
  13. I searched Mrxsmb10.sys BSOD 0x00000027 As that sys file is a M$ one and not a driver one strangely enough
  14. no problems @witch it seems to be some legacy SMB share connections, do you have any servers with an old OS which they are connecting to? at least you have the dump screen which means you can track down which component in windows is causing it.
  15. found some hotfixes here https://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/windows/en-us/6ca64d52-3373-4a93-95a1-d4025b1cddf8/bsod-on-mrxsmb10sys
  16. I have just liberated an old EPOS till from our cashless catering, so I am really interested now :-)
  17. IWBs or projectors to blame at all? I know it sounds stupid, but there must be something in the classrooms they are using causing it if it doesn't happen at home
  18. hugs and eduhobnobs for @witch I know how annoying it is to try and replicate an inconsistent issue
  19. Hiya @witch did you image these laptops or install them from scratch. I am asking as I have had strange issues with images before when it comes to USB3 drivers and images before with MDT and it sounds very similar.
  20. Weird I put in ip access-group 100 in for VLAN 40 and it kills it off, take it out and it all works

  22. Had a bit of a binge and watched all of that Original and TNG Star Trek movies on DVD.
  23. From use it goes over our WAN to centrally hosted Lightspeed Rocket servers. It then prompts for username and password there, so although there is a proxy, it is not on our LAN. Removing the ACL made it work, so it may be looking at that later on to find out what would stop internet traffic
  24. OK, I took a last stab in the dark and removed ACL 100 from VLAN 40 and the internet has started working for those clients
  25. OK I have removed them and still no luck :-(
