OK, so a couple of things for anyone who finds this thread in the future. The reason the Authorise button did appear, is because i didn't tick the Restrict Videos settings in the GaFE admin console. Ok, I have had to resort to posting on the Google Forums, as the traffic is going through the moderaterestrict and I am logged in but the approve functionality does not seem to appear.

Ah, so it seems I have to make the hosts for the restrict and moderaterestrict too. That does make sense, even though it should forward DNS when it can't find it.

Well DNS obviously hates me I put in a cname for each bit listed to restrictmoderate.youtube.com and it goes nope and causes youtube to just not work.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. I am currently looking into this as YouTube for Schools is slowly being phased out and this to replace it. I am going to ask the very special question, how did you end up getting it working, was it the CNAME DNS method for the HTTP Redirect? I am just a little unsure where to put the CNAME into windows DNS, as surely it would mean making a .com zone etc, which may cause internet sites to stop working :-(

Sounds like you don't need to go crazy, you can create replication between two physical hosts on HyperV but you don't get a true failover IIRC. What I would say is get 4 SSDs in your quotes on the servers, two for Mirroring for the Host OS and the other two can be mirrored and used in a storage pool with classic HDDs (in raid 5), this will increase your performance like anything. Over the course of about the first week, windows analyses what files (at bit level) are used and accessed the most and then moves those onto the SSDs, this means that those specific files get a much greater response time.

I am going to ask a stupid question, (only just started on this now so may have missed it) have you run a CHKDSK C: /F /R and restarted to force a full check disk and see if it (by some miracle) fixes any dodgy NTFS records

Hello All, I am hitting a bit of a brick wall here, a couple of students have figured out that they can get into the control panel etc (not actually cause any harm but still) by booting into safemode with networking. Has anyone found a way of disabling access to this through the registry or GPO at all, a lot of online doc refer to winXP or a pay for command line tool and I need to disable it for win7 64bit. Using PCIe SSD cards in mirror together with a selection of standard disks in RAID5 using windows storage spaces to manage them gives amazing speeds. This is what I use for my HyperV hosts, it still amazes me. Storage Spaces are really intelligent on what data needs to be moved where.

Stupid question, where is your swap file located? Virtual memory can be a hog and I have a habit of moving it to the non system drives on Physical servers.

After glueing the mouse balls in having to go around and unscrew the mouse and clear the scuzz off the wheels with a small screwdriver. I was happier when they stopped optical mice having the read light as students at my previous place used to hold them up to one and others eyes for fun. I recently stumbled on one of our old 2004 NS optimum servers in a DT cupboard they had been using to show 'advanced' components. It made me chuckle.

My first PC was an IBM Aptiva Desktop PC 133Mhz Pentium 12MB EDO RAM 1.5GB HDD (that was really noisy) Had a soundblaster Pro 16bit ISA Card in there Shared SIS Graphics 4 speed CDROM Drive :-) I loved it, came with Windows 95 with Plus, which meant I had plenty of time to practice the Space Cadet Pinball more than everyone else. It was brought from Tempo for £1,200 and was the cheapest machine they did :-/ (my dad had some shares with Tesco's save as you earn scheme at the time)

So a few years back, me and my friends went on a ghost walk in the London Dungeons (when it was still under the arches at London Bridge Station). This was from 11pm until about 5am, was a long night. While you could hear footsteps above from the station and the trains etc. I can remember at one point, we was all in a darkened room and someone had to leave, we are all being super quiet and then set off the screaming people in the Fire of London part that was there, I have never seen so many people jump in my life. There is always the local story up here of the Blue Bell Hill Hitchhiker Ghost that does the rounds every now and again, but personally I have never experienced anything more than being completely scared in a building. Our old building was awful at 3am but never more than a feeling.

If you haven't registered, I would highly recommend it. The epson HQ is only a 5 minute walk from Apsley Train Station, which is accessible from Euston train station, I did it quite easily last time and the food was good to :-)

@ass17 you are doing an awesome job here, maybe you just need a little custom installer to create the path and then the file should run.
