Cool! I saw it pop up on the Sky box a while back, thought I must check it out, and then promptly forgot.

I loved Leverage back in the day. Great to see it coming back, although why is Tim Hutton obviously out? Did he die or something?

I wonder if it would be possible to use some of the extra processing power on vector textures? Has someone already tried?

Where is this 100Gb install size coming from? I looked through the install directory on my PC and modern AAAs aren't going much above 60-70gb install size, with a lot managing to stay sub 50. For example destiny is just under 40, witcher 3 is only 35. Even Control and Outer Worlds were only in the 30-40 range.

In my experience, Win10 can chug a bit on only 4gb of RAM. But we've got similar specced PCs (just upgraded to 8gb ram) running Win10 quite happily.

We use ACT for door entry. While we don't use it for that, it automatically logs the entry and exit time for each user, and you should be able to set up a restricted user for the console that can only see the access logs.

Just seems super odd to me. Why isn't that kind of thing just saved to a shared drive? Do you even have a shared drive (I don't see the need to have both this kind of setup and a shared drive). Out of interest how many staff have used permissions to set up 'private' folders? Because wouldn't it make the whole thing pretty redundant if they just created 'private folders' and put everything in there. Also how do you guard against the teachers removing the admin permissions, which would make the folder a right pain to delete/archive.

What is it going to be used for? If you're going to do that, why bother with home drives at all? Why not just have everyone using a shared drive? I could see it pushing staff into using USB drives as somewhere to work on and store files they don't want others to see yet.

I'm the same. But I wonder if that's because our access gives us a very abject lesson in what other people can potentially see.

If you've got it enabled, you could browse to "\\computername\C$\Program Files" (or whatever the install directory is) and find out if the program's files are gone or not.

Similar here. Out the back (south facing) the bird feeders were horizontal, but out front the bins didn't even go over.

I can't speak to UltraVNC but I've used the desktop and android versions of RealVNC for a while without any issues. Real VNC has a nice GUI and is super easy to set up. On the desktop version you can export a config file with your connections. I can't see a setting for this on the mobile (android) app, but you just have to know the PC name to connect and once you've done it once it's save in the app. I imagine Ultra works in a pretty similar way. Just make sure they have "interact" turned off otherwise they can control the teacher's PC.

I do hope we get to see them again, they were cool villeins, and tied in with the backstory of the Eternals just makes them more interesting. Incidentally the Wikipedia article mentions last nights episode.

Do Epson still do the lamp warranty?

Same sort of thing here. We've done it on the odd occasion (mostly with people who have left), but it has to be signed off by the head.

I agree, everything wrapped up super quickly last night, but I've thought Who has had that problem going back well into Matt Smith and even Tennant's time. It's like they get to the 40 minute mark and suddenly realise they only have 10 minutes to resolve everything. Apart from when the Dr magicked the 'sonic' into her hand (massive eye-roll), and her insistence on reciting the Wikipedia entries for everywhere they go, I enjoyed it. The weirwolf things were one of the best designed monsters of the Chibnal era. Was kind of hoping the immortals would escape though.

At my last school we went from DELL 1500 series to Epson EB-X series (X11 back then) projectors without having to move the mounts. Between the physical zoom/resize and the quick corner they have bags of adjustment range.

Because they're shared use/loan devices. Each lesson it might be used by a different user. Although, if they're windows is there any reason they can be domain joined?

I still think using web print would give you what you want. You just need to set the browser to not remember the login. That way they log in, submit their print jobs to the queues you've set and when the close the web browser the login session ends.

Here, there's 3 (sometimes 4) of us sharing a 3x4m (ish) office. At my last place it was just me, and the IT office was a converted shower cubicle. It still had the tiles on the walls and everything. At one point, there was talk of us offering a drop-in helpdesk in library at lunchtime.

So this is a non-domain windows device? I'd just use the Mobile&BYDO options. We've got Web Print set up so people can print from the IPads. People log into web front-end on your server and submit jobs. You set the print queues they have access to. No reason it can't work the same from a windows device as long as it has a network connection. And you don't need to map the printer to the device. Not sure how it would work with direct printing as we have Follow-Me/Find-Me set up with print release stations.
