  1. Reading and re reading replies. It seems the best solution here is to stick with net 2 and get the 3 extra readers installed. I appreciate all of the replies and suggestions! Do any of you use the "Sign in app" for visitor management? Reviews? This can also be used with our current mifare cards for staff to clock in and out with (Via an extra reader tagged onto it). So it is another option, but I didn't like the idea of congestion at the terminal when visitors are signing in and staff are waiting to sign in...
  2. So they can use the time sheet app. Happy to be educated about reports, could they be generated for departments and used to show time in and out?
  3. I'd need 3 additional readers, one additional for in, two for out; door open and clock out. As I said earlier, management weren't keen on the double swipe, but it may well be our only option without replacing the whole system at a far greater cost... Thanks for the links
  4. Yeah, I have it on my PC. Trouble is we don't have a reader for exit. The gate automatically opens when you approach it. So could only pull swipe in data currently.
  5. Sadly, no.
  6. Any idea how that's configured? Paxton have told me you need two readers. One for door open & one for clock in. The mode for each reader has to be set from Net2 accordingly. There isn't a dual Operating mode.
  7. Paxton have the software already, but management would like a single swipe to clock them in & open the gate. Paxton have told me that isn't possible as a reader can only operate in one mode.
  8. We are using Papercut with the ID badges already. We really just need something that can clock a user in and open the door with a single swipe. If that's not possible, then the next best thing is to double up the readers on entry and exit.
  9. Thanks for the responses so far. We did have InVentry in for a demo - this was to facilitate visitor management. But if they can offer the clocking in / out as well as door opening, I might get them down again. Keep the suggestions coming, will update if I find something else. Cheers!
  10. Morning, Just floating this one really, I need to find a solution for our School that can open a door when a mifare card is presented, but also clock that user in. When the user leaves via the same door, it will open and clock them out. Most of the systems I've seen cannot operate in this manner. We currently use Paxton Net 2 and they have explicitly told me that it isn't possible with their system. The reader will only operate in one mode. To achieve what we need here, it would take two readers on each side of the door. I am in contact with a couple of other companies, but just wondering if any of you have a solution that operates in our desired way? All help appreciated. Regards,
  11. I stumbled across this post as I was running into the same trouble. I replaced the files as suggested, the error persisted. In the end we've used the "Return true" workaround to get the timetable populated.
  12. Yeah, I did see that. Sorry, my reply isn't very clear. I should have said that this is an alternative to using Paint as the default, but as far as I know you cannot restore the app to LTSB.
  13. There is a registry "fix" that will re enable Windows Photo Viewer in LTSB. Then you can use group policy to set that as the default option for opening photos. https://www.howtogeek.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Activate-Windows-Photo-Viewer-on-Windows-10.zip
  14. We are using local profiles in a 2012 domain. Currently have an issue with Chrome and students creating a shortcut on the desktop to C: We have used GP to block Chrome from accessing File:/// (working) but the Students can then drag that URL to the desktop, which in turn creates a working shortcut to C: For now we have restricted the use of Chrome, but struggling to find a resolution to this shortcut issue. Probably missing something very obvious. Anybody encountered this issue?
  15. We are having similar issues on new HP hardware. Windows 10 LTSB 2015. Very very occasionally when a machine is logged on to, the screen will go black as mentioned, then turn to a solid grey. The machine shows up on the Impero console, but if you view the screen, it is grey. Only way around it is a reboot. I did read that applocker might cause the issue, but when testing & applocker removed, it still happens. Very frustrating. Also looking to roll out the latest version of Impero over the Easter hols.
