Replacing Smart with Display Screens

Do these problems still exist after the board has been updated to latest firmware, sensors cleaned and Calibration being run from smart software? -
When we bought projectors this was my strategy. Buy Epson with three years warranty. When projector was nearing three years old we'd ring up and say bulb is very dim. Epson would send a new bulb. When that bulb went in and bulb failed we'd buy new projector and repeat process.

Depends what staff want to achieve? We use smart notebook app on ipads .

We removed KB3170455 from wsus and unapproved from all devices etc.

We had the same with our lea supporting a small admin network in each school. We gave SIMS to SCOMIS to host and just built their machines onto the curriculum network and never looked back.

Smart6065 are 65". 65" inch screen in 4k or 1080p crystal clear image is always going to be better than 70" from projector etc. -
This article here https://help.apple.com/classroom/ipad/1.0/#/cadc1b9b4f8a sets the min spec at 32gb but maybe apple are making the assumption that each class has a set of Ipads or they would have a higher ratio of Ipads to students. Also doesn't leave much room for apps or videos etc.

RM advised us not to run ASM on anything under 128gb (64gb for Smaller school) Ipad for exactly the reasons you have stated. Sorry that doesn't help you.

[ms office - 2016] Powerpoint slow printing!
atcoates replied to Android2408's topic in Office Software
That points to the printer being the problem as it just can't process them efficiently. I'd blame HP! Anything on the printer settings? I assume if you save the presentation as a PDF and print it, it comes through at normal speed?- 9 replies

I'd be interested to see what people recommend. As much as I'm not an apple fan the Ipads we have are so robust (in Griifin Survivor cases) I'd be loathed to swap for something that didn't have the same longevity. We have over 300 Ipads of all ages used day in day out and so far we have one cracked screen and one broken home button! The battery life is still really good as well. When I looked before it only looked like the Google Nexus devices had the same robustness and maybe Dell android tablets. I felt at least with the Nexus one you had more chance of keeping the OS up to date but they were the same price as the Ipads so we stuck with them.

This may be the key difference between Primary and Senior schools. Primary schools are all about dynamic fast paced lessons designed to engage the students. Most primary schools (mine anyway)don't have desks as such just somewhere for the computer to sit.
-
Yes even the students that train in our schools all want Smart Notebook and they all love the screens. Even teachers that have taught for years enjoy using the new smart panels as it makes their lives easier and they have more confidence it will work in front of the class.
-
I work in Primary schools and we use lots of the features in Smart Notebook 17 etc so my observations of how the boards are being used may differ from yours. They also use them for lots of interactive games etc. Also the height we would need to have a projector at to allow reception children to access the screen would make projectors a no go anyway.
-
I'm sure these would suffice for basic use like writing and advancing power point slides etc but anything more that that would be a struggle? This may be the whole primary school used compared to higher education use argument though.

Don't under estimate the power of pressing the power button!
