  1. But does it change the verb accordingly? Just interested as it was my last school that had Bromcom, on SIMS now.

  3. Thank you Brenda, that's an excellent idea, now I just have to get it past the Change request guys. I hope they agree that it's a pretty elegant solution.
  4. This is what I recommended, but the powers that be think it's far too much expense for the job. I'll remind them if and when anyone is late leaving the building in a real emergency, which obviously I hope does NOT happen.
  5. Thanks for all your replies, almost overwhelmed by the number of responses already. I have suggested the app as I have it on my phone and it works well, but they're not keen on using it for some (possibly luddite) reason. I'm not hot on Papercut so creating scripts is not a great option, however there may be someone in the organisation that can do this, so I'll look into it. Your posts have given me a lot to think about, and I thank you all for your time and knowledge.
  6. We use InVentry for staff/visitor/pupil access. In the event of an emergency admin staff and/or fire marshals need to print an evacuation list. We also have Papercut print management. Currently a staff member has to authorise multiple print jobs to print off the 6 or 7 pages of the evac report. I have contacted InVentry to see whether the report can be condensed into a single print file, but they claim that this is impossible (some excuse about reading from multiple data sources). Has anyone come across this or a similar situation, or can any InVentry or Papercut experts suggest a way forward. Thanks people.
  7. Thanks for your advice, sadly that's not an option
  8. Our SEN used to use Our story, the digital book app on her newer ipads, she now wants me to add it to all of our older ipads, however the older ones max out at ios 10.3.3 and there doesn't seem to be a version of our story for this operating system. Does anyone have any ideas of a close alternative app that will run on our devices ? Thanks.
  9. Only just found the competition, a little too late, but this would have been my one. Nicely done Garacesh.
  10. Thanks, I tend to agree, we have a Twinkl account, but it appears that a specific resource was found on sparklebox. I have sought advice from our online safety contact at LGfL, but I shan't be unblocking it without SMT input at the very least.
  11. Apologies for resurrecting a very old thread, but I have just been asked by a staff member why the site is blocked. A local block was put in place on our webscreen prior to my arrival here at the school. As far as I can tell the site is not actually blocked by LGfL, but I am hesitant to remove our block for all the reasons detailed in this thread. Does anyone have any up-to-date info on the safety of this site now ? Thanks.
  12. I don't think they could have chosen any better for the two leads. I'm sooooo excited, may have to have a party and watch with all my Pratchett-loving friends.
  13. I'm covered, OH has prime so I'm included in the family deal. Really hope they do it justice, I'll have to check for the cast to see if I approve ;-)
  14. Elite Dangerous - CMDR Sleipnir Octopod Also recently discovered Gems of War a neat little game which people watching think is a Candy Crush type game, but it's actually chock full of strategy, free and well worth a try. Name on there is Erin. It's available on Android and Steam so playable pretty-much anywhere
