How do I do that? Why can I still print from the server if the drivers are at fault?

W have a small HP laserjet 1022n in our office and cant seem to get it to work properly. I have plugged it in correctly, added it to one of our 32bit 2003 severs, installed the drivers and it still wont work. The strange part is that I can print from the server to the printer no problems. When I print from my workstation which is 32bit XP pro, the job just hangs in the queue. Anyone got any ideas? James

nice. Ive managed to find one. After a bit of research, i found that I needed to buy a Firstline stat, not a Quinten Hazell stat. There is a difference of 3.5mm in diameter between the 2 which should just do the trick. Good work! just like Dick Strawbridge. you should be on scapheap challege!

Sirbendy. I have had a bit of a shocker today... after reading your post, i decided that i was going to buy the thermostat from a local car parts place rather than wait a couple of days for eBay. I went in and explained what i was doing (which got a few funny looks), told them the part i wanted and they got it for me. Except the thermostat that they sold me (which was for the same model cars as on eBay) was different to the one you suggested on eBay and it didn't fit, it was too wide (by about 2-3mm). So I went to buy the one you suggested on ebay and now the auction has ended and do you think I can find another one the same... NO! Where can I get one from? I thought I was going to have some heat for the journey into work this week but it looks like ill have to wait now.

Ok. Do you think this would be expensive if i took it to the garage?

yeah. Thats what I thought. When it stopped working, I went and bought a replacement, then got the haynes manual out. Wrong way round! its an absolute ball ache. the stat is located just behind the timing belt cover. Im not particularly confident with car repairs. Do you know if this is an easy (ish) job? Any tips?

interesting. That was what i thought. now my problem is that to replace my thermostat, which cost me about £10 to buy, I have to remove air filter, cam belt, timing belt, lots of different covers. PITA!!

not sure if anyone will know the answer but my car heater has stopped working, and in this weather, its a bit annoying. Does anyone have an idea why its not working? Symptoms: - it used to work until about 2 months ago. - if im driving along normally, the engine temperature gauge doesn't move and stays at 0 (cold) - If I leave the car running, but stationery, the engine temperature gauge will move to normal operating temp and the heater works. - If I then drive away, the gauge slowly moves back to cold and so does the heater. I have a good idea what I think it is but don't want to say I case i influence anyone in a Derren Brown sort of subliminal messaging type way. What is the problem. Anyone? James

Are you using static IP's or using DHCP? Can you ping the NIC of the admin network card?

If you use it, sharepoint does that.

Is the file in the actual profile stored on the server? Please dont take this as me being rude but are you sure the profile is mandatory. Is it a ntuser.man?

firewall issue maybe? Is there anything in the event viewer?

I can see what your saying but if you look at the image that is titled ScienceBuilding.jpg, there is no overhang from the roof, its straight up. The building where the cameras are located are identical. I'm going to try a polarized camera filter and see if that helps.

This might be a bit difficult because it is in a teachers classroom. Don't want to completely black out the windows. Thought about this but I would need to weather proof them and find a route inside with the cable.

I have just set up a couple of web cams attached to laptops to take pictures of the BSF building work every couple of seconds and upload to our website. As you can see from the images, there is a lot of reflected light from the blinds and the top image has a bit of glare. Is there anything that we can use to stop this. some kind if light filter maybe?? Thanks in advance. James (Ive attached two images just in case you look at the site when there is no reflection...)
