  1. WOW - A lot of things have changed since I've been away. Just to say I'm back in the IT world and I'm about to set up my own web maintaining business as well working full time for a political think tank. So hi everyone, it's nice to be back.
  2. Congratulations Shaun, what about naming him Luke?
  3. Hi all, I've managed to land myself a job interview and I just really need some advice on what I should be brushing my skills up on for the technical test. Below I have listed the job specification, any advice would be great. Maintain an overall knowledge of supported hardware and software including SIMS. Use and share that knowledge to provide improved support and produce solutions for end users appropriate to that level of knowledge. Keep up to date with ICT related products and tools in sufficient detail to know features and limitations. Maintain a knowledge and understanding of EiS and relevant KCC policies and procedures. Identify and apply remedies to problems, or escalate unsolved problems to appropriate staff. Ensure that problems and solutions are documented and shared for future reference by support staff; submitting knowledge base articles on a regular basis where applicable. Maintain a good working knowledge of the SIMS Core modules and a more specialised knowledge of other modules if directed in order to provide support and produce solutions for end users appropriate to that level of knowledge.
