Hi all, We have a HP Colour Laserjet 3500 here that prints a light shade of cyan accross the whole page. I printed an event log and got the errors I calibrated the printer 3 times as suggested on a website. Then I printed a cleaning page twice but still the same problem. After some reading on the net, I disabled the cartridge check and swapped the cyan and yellow toners around. I did a demo print and now there is a shade of yellow accross the background. (I have attached scans of the two printouts to show you all. The yellow isn't that obvious on the scan but believe me its the same density as the cyan scan.) This says to me that its not the cartridge's at fault but the printer itself. Do any of you have experience with this sort of issue?? Do I need to replace any parts within the printer itself?? we have a spare 3500 that I could use for repairs if needed. Thanks James

I rooted my htc hero and loaded cyanogen mod 6 and to be honest, i prefered the original htc ROM. there were things that i liked with the sence that i cant do with cyanogen. I get an upgrade soon and will be going for the desire HD, wont be rooting it or using a custom ROM.

there are a few different backup application that can be found in the market. i use one called sprite backup. It lets you backup to the phone/sd card/dropbox/box.net and you can schedule it to run at a certain time. It just works. but there are other that im sure people on here will tell you about.

Morning all!! one of the teachers here has had an idea... they would like to change the icon on a document when its been marked. there would be two icons. one for "marked and needs changes" and another for "marked and is completed" (the icons would be a cross and a tick for example). Instead of right clicking, properties, change icon, etc etc... is there a way to run a script that will change the icon when run. What I woud like ideally is the document can be dragged onto the script file and the icon change?? Im sure some of you clever people can do this... but I can't! tia James

ok, thanks guys. i like bginfo but i dont want to have to physically go to each machine to see the speed. I would like it in a text file that I can see from my desk. i would like the computers to modify one text document, I dont want 100 different documetns to look through.

Hi Geeks! Im looking for a script that I can run that will show me the network speed on each pc in the domain. I would like the output to be =========== Computer 1 =========== Speed = 100mbs =========== Computer 2 =========== Speed = 1gbs etc etc. I have zero experience with scripts and was wondering if anyone has something like this. i have looked at the MS script repository and found a few examples but none of them seem to work. Any help would be much appreciated. James

I am using yawcam for the very same thing here. it updates every 30 seconds and saves the image in a sharepoint folder. Every 90 minutes, i use a little script to copy the latest image to another folder, rename it with a datestamp and then I use those images to create a timelapse. (here). If you are using yawcam internally you can also set up a stream for staff to look at over the network.

thats not a fault with yawcam. there is a settings menu where you can adjust the image from your webcam. have a look in there.
