I've got no problems with it, but now that I've discovered that I can replace it with purple, there's nothing better.

Wait... This was a real thread? As in, an actual serious comment with no biting sarcasm intended? Is this what we do now? HAS THE WHOLE WORLD GONE CRAZY? I feel the need to mention that I'm going to see Reel Big Fish and Less than Jake this weekend just to make myself feel better and restore the balance.

So a 5 year old boy come up to me today and says...

I heard a few Microsoft reps use that point about Apple to their advantage. "If your headteacher really wants iPads, tell her to speak to the Apple rep at BETT. There isn't one!" The sick burn was numb after hearing it three times.

Came in on Thursday, am now toting my Edugeek loot and wishing I'd taken up that offer of a whole pizza...

Parents to confront School governors over iPads
Bompalompalomp replied to Simcfc73's topic in General Chat
When I was in High School, the school pressured all of the new parents to pay for Microsoft PDAs. They never got repaired, the classes hardly ever used them and thieves targeted the Year 7s with them. Making parents pay for a test run of tech rarely ever works out in anyone's benefit. Most of them never made it out of year 7, and they were outdated the next years. -
Check something's not pressing on the board, making both inputs spazz out. I had this problem, and a teacher had just leant a chair against the whiteboard.

Just been told I'm up for going on Thursday! Get hype.

ISFJ. Sometimes, a lot of the questions on these tests are really silly and not mutually exclusive in the slightest, though.

I get an extra few days off because some wonderful child must have given me mumps on the last few days of term! Flared up last week and I'm contagious for the next few days. Aren't children grand?

Has FePizz Navidad been taken already? Yes please!

Hush, you. Haven't ever been out in Walsall actually, which is a bit odd as it's not too far from me. What pub? I'm interested now!

Going to see The Beat tomorrow. We're preparing ourselves to be the youngest people in the crowd again. Reel Big Fish and Less than Jake in a few months too!

Yes! I'll be stealing that. I've been saying "I always wanted to be an IT Technician, but apparently that wasn't good enough for a costume" and that I'm deathly ill. got into an argument with a group of Year 6 boys who refused to believe they were pockmarks. They think they're just stickers. Idiots. One of them ran away frightened when I asked if he wanted to peel them off like sunburn. Sometimes I love this job.

Our school's doing a theme of what you want to be when you grow up, and staff are supposed to do what they wanted to be. (Kind of depressing, really.) Came in without a costume because I only found out yesterday, so the office staff have covered me in spots. Kids keep asking me if I wanted to be an artist, a measels patient or Pudsey.

If money's a problem, which it definitely was for me two years ago when I had to choose a college course, then it's probably the most practical and useful one for you. Level 2's for basics, level 3's for planning and practical (though, I'll warn you a lot of people left my course because they found parts of it boring. Especially at the beginning of Level 3). One of my friends says he owes me his job because I shouted at him when he said he was going to leave the course halfway through and made him stay. I was in a tight spot when choosing college. I should've gone to a better high school with a sixth form, but that wasn't a possibility, and I should've looked into uni. Without chances and funding, this was probably the best choice for me. It might be for you too, but always look around.

I did City & Guilds Level 2 and 3 System Support (full time vocational course) straight after Year 11 for two years before getting my apprenticeship, with the help of my lecturer before I'd even finished the second year. I'm doing A+ for free now alongside my apprenticeship through my college. Good if you want to start off with the basics and get more into the practical and business side of things, but not something I think I'd heavily rely on again (even though I did) because I didn't have really any other choice or ideal career. If possible, you might want to just see if you can cram for A+ directly, but when I left school I couldn't afford anything for that and the experience over the two years was great for me.

We had this (last name and first initial with number combinations) forced with the new CC4 setup, so I just made generic logins for each class. Usernames are the class names, and the teacher picks a password. Before I did this, no one came to me about it until I saw a year 1 class spend their entire ICT lesson trying to log in and failing. Shocking that they kind of just dealt with it before then.

In this time of peril, all I can think is that It could have been me. -

I'm waiting for more info on the Nexus 5 before I shop around, because the speculations seem great.

I've had nothing but semi-decent service from Orange. But when I got a Virgin contract, I didn't use the phone for most of a month and only to answer calls one time, and they claimed I'd run up over £100 worth of bills from calls. When we threatened legal action against them, they cut the "debt". I'm not entirely sure whether or not that's good customer service or extremely crap overall service.

I've readied every single part of my body for this moment for the past year.
