We have a Clevertouch 55". So heavy, I had to get the two strongest men in the school to try and lift it onto its mount. Don't even try to set it up without help! - I wish its android version played nice with proxies, because we've pretty much just left that side alone since there's not much we can do with it. - Our mount arrived with the wrong instructions. UGHHH. - The software for windows can be a bit... Naff. One of them is supposed to launch the onsreen keyboard whenever you click a text field, but it doesn't work a lot of the time. - Calibration's been fine after the initial setup where it was horrible, but the distance between the screen and its glass can make looking at it from an angle inaccurate. I've had to coach the teacher several times on that. Other than that, I've found it fine. The 1080p screen is pretty as heck when it's not facing a window and it's in a classroom where the walls are full so it's easy to move around.

Bats are my favourite animal, I'd have been letting off a whole other kind of girly squeal! I'd ruddy love to work by there.

Speaking of allergies, my ex was seriously allergic to spicy peppers (among lots of other things, like almost every fruit, penicillin and chocolate). I have a very, very funny story about me eating jalapenos for dinner and forgetting to wash my hands and brush my teeth. I won't tell it.

There have been known cases of people being harmed by pepper spray (and tear gas, etc.) used by police at protests, etc. But those are different sprays to ones available commercially, a lot stronger and pretty much intended to cause lots of pain. But police carry huge cannisters to those, and that's generally what causes it I think. Not sure about any known allergies, but I think asthma would be a big problem with them. Though for the intended purposes that I'd have one, you'd be a fool to be mugging people while asthmatic or about to have a heart attack.

I understand absolutely every one of those bans except for even mild pepper spray. My mum was mugged the other week (of my £20 and an expired debit card haha, thankfully it wasn't payday), but was pushed into a wall and she suffers from MS and arthritis, so she was in pain and was shaking for days. If it were up to me she'd carry a mild pepper spray in her pocket, but I'm settling for a can of this red tag paint (that's not effective if you miss, whereas pepper spray is) but it's somehow legal despite the fact that it pretty much shoots it into their eyes at force.

Love 'em, especially small ones with friends. I haven't gone to a big one, mainly because I've kind of fallen out of love with most competitive online games, and I'm carp at those I haven't. The best thing about small LANs is you can find a game nobody's played and roll with it. It's how I got my friends into Killing Floor and Serious Sam!

The last letter I wrote to my MP came back a few weeks late with along the lines of "Sorry for the delay, I just got back off holiday". I think I can guess his stance on the pay rise.

The ICT Room got demolished, but now I have a room. A room with WALLS! But it's occurred to me how bare the walls are. The problem is that one wall is a massive window looking out into the corridor where parents queue and kids work, so no fun things could go on the huge wall facing it... But I was thinking some subtle, artistic and tech-related posters could really tie the place together. Any suggestions? I could probably put around 3 or 4 up next time I get paid. I don't mind where they're from, or if they're just images large enough I could get them printed and framed myself. That kind of selfish thinking would make me threaten charges, regardless of when they return it. Padlock it or slap a webcam in view of the cabinet and see who picks one up after work or never returns one the same day.

We use them for Reception on iPad 2s. However, the software is iPhone only, so it's the blown up ported version on the iPads. Definitely nicer for the eyes though, and I've had no complaints.

Running into this right now. Everyone selling their old learner bikes thinks they can get shedloads for it, despite replacing half the parts after dropping it twenty times. Basically decided that getting a new and more expensive bike on finance is the best option for commuting right now.

Well now I just feel silly.

Likewise, except I'm asked for two extra weeks than the term. So I do get 4 weeks of holiday but I can't afford to take it anyway beyond chilling at home only spending money on tofu and noodles or looking for summer work.

20 miles a day on the buses. 3 Hours of travel at least, currently. 1 mile of walking and 9 on buses there, and I'm too shattered to walk the way back in the evenings so I tend to wait for the later buses.

Me and @Garacesh laugh at your key. The caretaker let me pick the lock to a drawer that the receptionist had locked MY keys in last month! Picking a lock to get to my keys was rather surreal.

Anyone else going to really miss the year 6/11s/etc that they bonded with? I almost cried today. Year 6 this year were my absolute favourite kids ever! My computer club have been like tiny little friends! I helped in all of their assemblies and have just had a laugh with them. (There's one kid who I owe a life debt to because I accidentally swore at him and he just laughed it off!) Half of them were in tears during their assembly and made tier parents cry. My club came into my too today to get their shirts signed and brought me this! I talk about them way too much I know... ;-; but year 5 this year suck...

Wishing I were dead and clearing out the ICT Room of the computers and all my stuff because it's being torn down to extend a couple of classrooms. Nobody's told me **** all, but I think since they're ripping up the asbestos tiles I need to clear out my entire work area too. And then it's imaging and resetting staff laptops for the new users and cleaning out the desktops and crying because our RM refresh has been put off until October. Then I'm running away and finding a summer job for some extra cash!

There are many legal things I wouldn't be comfortable with my mother knowing, let alone my government and whatever companies pay them for the information. I'll give the government my secrets when they give me theirs and are completely open with their practices and the practices of everyone in charge.

My letters have fallen on deaf ears, it seems. I wrote to my MP a while ago pleading against the filter (specifically asking him to respond with something other than "THINK OF THE CHILDREN", I laid out alternatives beyond government censorship and reasons why it wouldn't protect children...) and got "As a father, I am all for this" basically in response.
