  1. Just to throw a wrench in the hypothetical works... Picture how discriminative a rating system for a "nicer" version of public transport is. What's stopping the mentally handicapped person unable to control their words who needs to travel being branded with a 1* because they were loud in public and unable to get that form of transport. Imagine people of an ethnicity being rated low by others for illegitimate reasons. Myself, I refuse to use buses if I can avoid it since I got my motorcycle. After using buses for several years I have been sexually harassed, assaulted, personally had to stop fights between other passengers, witnessed several crimes and had my anxiety worsened. Trams and trains are better, but not without this issue.
  2. Policy Central (Future Digital) as well as SMART has caused this for us.
  3. We've had IJT call us as well. None of their "best" prices beat our existing ones, and when I told them so they requoted twice after telling me they were providing their best. And those still weren't able to beat our existing prices, and their warranty deal was worse than our existing anyway. Really aggressive cold-callers.
  4. PWD always take our toners from other suppliers, except Epson ink cartridges/bottles which have to be discarded.
  5. I mix and match between suppliers who are able to stay competitive and provide best value. I have had no issue with https://pwdsupplies.co.uk/ or https://refreshcartridges.co.uk/ at all, great suppliers.
  6. More local newspapers blaming Eu regs for everything? Shocked.
  7. I've had to do this before by taking the devices home with permission and doing it there.
  8. I have this (better lit on the print version) photo of this Egyptian Fruit Bat I took at the zoo smiling at me. It sits on my desk. Her name is Margot.
  9. Have him wear an identifiable wristband or similar item. If you see that item in a photo, don't include it. It's what we do for the kids on sports day.
  10. Highly recommend the portable version. We have it mapped for everyone who needs it and we've noticed several dyslexic students using it and also staff who suffer from migraines use it to darken their screens.
  11. Work: Classroom/utility/padlock keys Multitool Home: Keys Bottleopener... Earplugs if I need a nap at my second job before I start Bike: Ignition/Tank keys are annoyingly different as it's been rekeyed Top box Padlock/Disk lock/second disk lock
  12. Hey what's up it's me, ya girl. Commenting at the last minute.
  13. It comes from their sheer incompetency at actually moderating the site. I stopped using it years ago but my girlfriends still does for her business and fandoms. People have been reporting CP from abusers and teenagers creating their own pornographic content heavily and Tumblr has done next to nothing about it. People have done group campaigns of reporting child abuse content and Tumblr still hasn't removed them. It's so bad there that users have been saying that child abuse blogs are being recommended to them sometimes when following normal adult content. Their incompetence at removing child abuse content got their apps removed from the app stores and they've basically given up on moderating it at all. Now the problem is that everything being flagged as NSFW to be removed... just isn't all NSFW. Art is being flagged for removal, even perfectly SFW pictures that have nothing to do with it. So people are going to lose their SFW content and a mass exodus will be happening.
  14. Actually managed to find cheaper My girlfriend doesn't care about either of the games so bought it on its own. https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/computer-accessories/game-controllers-and-joysticks/microsoft-xbox-one-wireless-controller-black-10154885-pdt.html
  15. If anybody sees an official Xbox One controller going lemme know
  16. Calling anybody an SJW is ridiculous and makes your entire argument look like a child wrote it.
  17. Got it saved: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14bgcEzvFlYvaOd5vSBbrqTnWq97t-cqu/view?usp=sharing Curious as to why, though!
  18. Ghosts photocopying their butts.
  19. If you ever change your mind you should join us at the group Motorbike Women on facebook
  20. If they weren't so ludicrously huge it'd be my dream bike, I can't even tap the ground on an unlowered one!
  21. My girlfriend's dad shaves when he's driving. Grosses me out on top of terrifying me!
  22. In 2017 we ordered a 10 pack of the grey/orange Activboard pens from CBC Computers LTD, that's done us well for a while. Might be worth checking with them if they still have any if they're EOL (Ask for Ben Mitchell), the product code was ACTIVPEN3-1.
  23. I was using it as a lesser example, in the same vein of making that information more public than just their workplace. Not saying I don't think it should be, but that they should have the choice. If you knew a person was struggling with gender dysphoria, it would be nice to think twice about what they would want published online. I don't really have a strong opinion either way, but personally I didn't like it when my name was on the website full stop. I'm not the head teacher so it's not need to know information, and I'd rather not take the chance that someone can search my name and find my job without me listing it online myself. I'm aware it's outdated now, but I think it's still common in a lot of people's vernacular, so using it as an example of why the term sex doesn't apply to identity, as surgery doesn't overrule someone's identity. Gender confirmation surgery is the much better term.
  24. Think of it in another scenario. If a person is struggling with their gender identity but they've accepted (for now) to remain as X title rather than Y at work, they may have an issue if then that work is in the news or public media and publishes them as X title, to the world. A website is that in a way, a more public declaration than they're comfortable with. Also, sex *is* the biological term for the genitalia you're born with (and inherently in a lot of cases, your genetics). Just because it's been put on forms for a long time as the same thing doesn't make it the same thing as gender. It's just that more recently the distinction is becoming more talked about. That's why sex reassignment surgery is called so, because it doesn't change their identifying gender (they already identify that way before an operation), it just changed their genitalia to match. Not their genetics, but their genitalia. ... Sorry for anyone's filter being hit!
  25. It definitely scrapes your emails and texts for possible contacts. It's suggested to me a lecturer I've only ever emailed, a guy I met for a motorcycle ride once and we only emailed/texted that I never even knew the surname of. A few more like that. Also suspect it does it with people who went to the same location/events as you.
