Having looked myself we are considering using Sharepoint Online via Office 365 as some of the Canon scanners software allow saving to Sharepoint Online and if its OCR pdf file would be searchable. Hope that helps you too. Thanks for your update.

We had big increase when we updated the HP drivers via update manager for ESXI , does the good host have newer version of ESX ? do you have server drivers installed ?

Use HAP for each site then make page with selection list so they can login to get resources. Will give everyone access via web interface.

Go to Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Service. Look for Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. Stop and Disable it. You will be able to do this via GPO if you don't have it turned off in image.

Is it connected to USB port ? Can you add USB controller to each guest and load the software on each guest like you would do if it wasn't virtual ?

Could you make the printer or PC wireless ? Might be slower but if you have good wireless coverage why not use what you have in place already.

Most simple installation description would be you have a separate network card for just the SAN connection. This could go direct in to SAN if supported and enough ports, else you might want to trunk all the ports to a switch then connect the servers to the SAN switch. You need make a target LUN/drive on the SAN so the server connected to the SAN can see it , with iSCSI connection software in windows server you can mount the drive then its good to go. Advanced features like multi path connections require more planning.

We have had hot fix 4 installed and issues we have had with webfolder seem to be sorted.

The Canon DR-C125 is fast but compact scanner and software it comes with allows OCR scanning to searchable PDF files which is handy if you finance software can read the invoice name and auto attach it to right account for processing.

I agree about setting the permissions correctly.We just enable shadow copies twice a day on the share then if something is deleted we can restore it back to date it was there.

Yep its still the same process from the adprep from the CD. No advantage or disadvantage running it manually compared with automatic process as the automatic process just runs the same command. Think as long as your on version of 2003 schema you can update straight to 2012.

We have had issue with upgrades before and fresh install solved the issues , we also renamed them differently so server saw them as new machines too.
