Is it possible to run a script at login only if a user is part of a security group? Is there an item level targeting for a script that I could add under the GPO used at login? The users that I need to apply this to are not under a set OU and so need this to work under members of a security group.

How to update multiple laptop files in one go?
rpettit replied to gloriousglenn's topic in Windows Server 2008
Could this be a GPO with a batch file - you could specify the files on the server and where you want them copied. This could either be a startup or login script. You could simple add another copy line into one batch file each time a new file needs copying - you could override or skip the existing files. -
Would you mind sending me more information on this as it is something we are looking into. Many thanks

Thanks Pete - Would you mind if I took a look at the powershell command you're running?

I am looking for a way to reject all mail sent between students to be filtered for bad words. I have a list of 500+ words, but looking at the screenshot below you have to enter words one by one. How are you picking up on bad words and filtering them?

I am being incredible stupid with the import of the Pre-Made GPO's for Classic Shell. 'To import a GPO, create the GPOs (as per my example above), then under Group Policy Objects, right click Classic Shell Curric (for example), then select Import and follow the on screen prompts. Now link the newly created GPO as required.' I have imported the definitions into the SYSVOL folder and they appear in the GPO that I have created. I am looking to import the pre-configured GPO's that we created that I have downloaded. I am having no luck in importing these into the GPO. Do I need to make any changes to the .XML files for our network?

Setting up SSO with Office365. When setting up ADFS do you have this as a separate server or add the role onto another server such as domain controller? How many ADFS servers is a recommended for SSO?

I am hoping a 9 year old post can help...where do you put the code for the volume settings?

We now have a few BBC Micro:bit's, but are already having some issues. When trying to load the website the page does not move on from a white page. I am thinking it is a permission that needs changing on Java per machine. Has anyone experienced this issue?

I have - We have smoothwall and I have added the port 5222 TCP to the outbound port for all users

Thanks for the info.

Has anyone got this working through smoothwall? Printers are showing offline after allowing the ports, setting the print server to use port 801 and added the google domains to the authentication exception list. Printers still showing as offline
