At home I use 'yellowknife' mfi certified ones from Amazon. I find them better than the apple ones.

Had a tosh laptop that i need to short a pin or something to remove the password. as I remember it did work. Requires a screwdriver while powering up the HDD though

Hey there. Did you ever find out the application control policy that needed configuring? I'mn struggling with a Smoothwall UTM at the moment with the Meraki Systems Manager.

We're using GAFE to have a off-site backup of data. We found the google sync app was terrible - struggled on certain file types, slow and prone to crashing. I found a (free) alternative - I'll find out what it is later today when I'm on site! Took a long time to upload ~1tb of data but we got there in the end. Now it just syncs changes to files.

Use it in my 5 and 6. The 5 battery (now I've had a new one in) is excellent. The 6 is still average at best - although everything is switched on on that. Never noticed a big hit with the tado geolocation.

Have you looked at Iiyama models?

Our new build estate is all cabled up by Virgin. You'd certainly install ducting and the cable would go on during the final fix. Only probably we had was the builders has blocked the ducts with rubble at one point! It doesn't surprise me one bit that open reach would drag their feet here.

The new Sky Q system (when released) should do what you need. It will no doubt be $$$$$$ though.

I have the tado at home and I love it. Never touch it - just use the geofencing so when we leave the house it turns down to our out of house setting. Mine plugs into the network - by cat5 not wireless. Not sure what ports it uses. However I just can't see how it would work in a school - other than some remote switch on / off.

This entirely. We work with a primary that is heavily into technology to *aid* learning. Even to to the point that the kids will take the iPad / laptop for a couple of days and do some work. But the teaching is of such standard that the results are brilliant. Just the other week a couple of Y6 pupils came to show me a game they'd made on the iPad. It was very good!

Last time I tried meraki mdm behind the LEA broadband (a long time ago) I had throw problem. Definitely something with the firewall / content filtering. However I tried again last week and they've obviously changed something as it works I would contact the LEA and check if the relevant ports are open etc. There a list of required ports in the meraki help site

Try less apps (5 or 6) and see if that works. Configurator 2 doesn't seem to like deploying lots of apps at once. You had one job.... [emoji23]

Are they mutually exclusive? My kids go swimming, horse riding, dancing and love going for walks / playing outdoors / on the trampoline (even in Bloomin winter) They also own an iPad each where they can request apps for us to install. The oldest can now iMessage me and the wife. The kids are 4 and 5. As with everything in life it's all about moderation. And if you tell a kid they can't do something - they'll find a way to do it anyway.

Cool, glad it worked. Took me from 10am until midnight to fight my way trough that sort of thing with config 2 last week! Config 2 seems to have nice features and more user friendly. If only they actually worked.

I'm as big a apple fan boi as they come. The last 7 days I've been on the brink of burning everything apple and moving to samsung. Or a Nokia 3210. Configurator 2 is a pile of s***. Nice idea implemented so so badly. I got the same error as you if trying to install too many apps. By too many I mean more than about 5 or 6. Try installing a few at a time to one iPad. Then try that same 5 or 6 to a few iPads. I found I could do a few apps at a time to 10 iPads ok. I couldn't do 10 apps to 1 iPad. I don't know whether the authenticated proxy they use in most of our schools hinders the process but in general it was a PITA

After testing on one it co-ord laptop I upgraded 5 X laptops from win 7 pro to win 10 education. All done within an hour. It co-ord tested them logging on to the domain and reported all good. A few days later told me they could get a clone output to the whiteboards! An install of latest chipset driver from Intel fixed that. Overall I've been pleasantly surprised at how straight forward an upgrade it was. No data lost.

Yep that's what I was told. / found out. It all complies - but the standard isn't great and the branded stations have a better quality fuel. It was diesel I was looking at - not sure if the same applies for petrol.

Apparently it's all to do with additives. And the lack of them being added in supermarket fuel.

I've looked into this a fair bit and had discussions on the motor trade. That plus our own evidence (poor performance and faults on my wife's car mainly) have led us to only using 'branded' fuel. In particular shell as they are the same price normally and convenient. No problems since.

I pay £30 for 50mb broadband and a sim only 1gb data deal not virgin. I pay £29 to sky for F1 and all other channels expect sport and movies. It has multi room and two full sky+ boxes If I left Virgin, by the time i added line rental and got fibre broadband there wouldn't be much difference - and my speed would drop from 50mb to 10 (And Virgin doubling speed soon)

In answer to your questions - yes. Licensed on the number of staff FTE.

We supply a lot of Fujitsu - servers, desktops and laptops. We moved the the laptops from Lenovo / toshiba. The build quality seems so much better on the Fujitsu. Only had one problem that was a failed DVD drive - replaced under warranty. No issue with desktops either. Again were at the bottom end here but all work well. And the servers have been spot on too. This is all in primary schools and used by pupils and staff. We've even started using the SSD models for staff at a competitive price. Normally for SSD and a bit more power we go for VeryPC thinbooks

I think with any Led TV speakers aren't going to be fantastic due to the nature of the product - just too thin! What I would say is that I find them more than adequate for TV and films that we watch. Eventually I'd like to setup my Dolby digital amp/ speakers but for general use its fine. I guess you might want something more for gaming ?
