We've also used compact Samsung lasers in the past - purely for the footprint. They're not cheap though and on the old clp310/320 models the paper tray didn't like been breathed on - it would cause issues.

Agreed. We've supplied Workforce Pro 4050 and 4150 series and they re very good and economical. We've been replacing colour lasers in some schools with them.

We too had strange issue with the wireless dropping. Reinstalled the drivers and thought i'd fixed it but we got a call again. Only recently did a colleague find updated drivers on the Fujitsu web site. They so seem to have done the trick.

I went got cat6 over cat5 as the general idea was that we could stay in the house for life. Thought it might be a little more 'future proof' Hoping I might be able to use the coax aerial feed that terminates in the loft to pull up some cat 6. But if not I can external for that bit and rest should be internal. We have built in Virgin cable for the living room, kitchen and main bedroom - so if we went multi room it'd probably be with virgin.

My router would not be in the 'cabinet' of course as it had to go near a phone point. Luckily the one directly above the main phone point was in my bedroom where the computer was - so cat5 available to the rest of my network. If you're chasing the walls but in some trunking as containment. And it gets VERY dusty!

Did the same in our old house every time we decorated a room. Plan to run some in this new build In old house chased out walls and put in a double socket per room where possible. As easy to run two cables as one. If I were doing it that way now I would try and position them all in a straight line - so whatever is on a downstairs room could in theory go straight upstairs in the same location. Ran mine back to a central cupboard upstairs. In the new build house there will be a switch / patch panel on the loft.

My brother just bought a Honda accord 'tourer'. Despite my jibes about him being an old man and 'who died, there's a hearse outside' it's a fantastic car. He has a great spec, lots of gadgets and cool little features. The best bit is that at 6 feet 4' I can lay down in the back! He has a vw camper van that the idea is to complete and go to The Spa F1 race. However we now think we could sleep on the Honda with plenty of room and comfort! Good choice!

First time I've had cable and I'm pleasantly surprised by the superhub 2. So much so I've put back my planned cat6 install and seperate wireless and router purchases. I'm getting very good speed / range on all devices wirelessly and compared to my previous ~7mb connection the 50mb flies.

It's funny because I lived Lenovo but the support when really down hill (although the products - laptops at least - we're still decent) We find HP support terrible I guess everyone has their own story!

Supplied thousands of Toshiba and always been reliable. With you on the build quality tho recently. Not had any break but don't feel as solid Fujitsu seem pretty good and decent support too. If absolute bottom line budget pricing isn't an issue then I HIGHLY recommend a VeryPC thinbook with SSD. they've gone down great with teachers (well headteachers initially)

I think that's probably true - but at the time they thought the medium would last and be okay at the end of the race - hence the call to let rosberg past. I think sky / people will hype it up but most of it is with hindsight. I saw all this as a huge Lewis fan.

I'm struggling to remember a better race and I've been watching a long time. Lewis did exactly the right thing - as any body would have some and certainly any other driver. I can understand why the team asked him as they thought his medium tyre soul last and be decent until the end. The race it's self had everything and every lap seemed exciting. Think I held by breath for the last 10 laps!

Something giving interference at 2.4ghz? Can you change channel on the router - there are tools to see what is around you and what channels are being used (although I couldn't name one with google!) Failing that anything new - microwave etc?!!!

Yep, power line is ok - subject to your wiring being ok lol In our old house every time we decorated a room I chased out a wall, put trunking in and ran cat5. In this new build I'm going to run cat6. And will eventually have some cameras / wireless using PoE. Doesn't take up power sockets then either. Cat5/6 is incredible useful I find!

Unless you've you already bagged a bargain, I'd ask at least. If you're doing a full re-wire it's a perfect opportunity to put in cat5 or cat6 too At the same time. (With suitable containment and distance from electric of course)

Yep. People have moaned apple Don't cater for the enterprise market - apple announce partnership with huge hitter. I hope some good features will filter down to the education market too

I paid ~£330 for mine 18 months ago I think. It's brilliant. The quid core i7 MacBook with 16gb is probably overkill for web browsing (But quick for handbrake)
