That's not really true any more. It's also common sense and in their own interest to at least check the buyer has a mortgage in principle / funds to move. They also tend to want you to use their own / partnered lender a lot of the time.

I wrote a Kix Script at the time. The idea at the time was the school IT Co-ord just typed in a list of names once a year and pressed add users. As it happens its normally us who do it anyway.

Hi All. I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to managed wireless network. The school here has a Cisco 4400 controller and 12 AP's connected and works flawlessly (if only my other schools could see how a wireless system can work with a bit of investment!!). Anyway, as this school is merging with the next door infant school, they wish to expand the wireless network. The infant building also has a cisco 4400 controller (that I don't currently have log in details for) and a number of AP's. It also has a couple of Unifi AP's that the previous techy installed 'as the cisco weren't working'. The merged school now has 2 wireless networks (although all on the same LAN) and I wish to add the infant schools AP's to the junior controller. Is this possible (I'm sure I read about a limited number of AP's a controller can have) and can somebody point me in the right direction? And basic guides etc? Thanks J

It is good practice to have life assurance Though - even a decreasing term one so the mortgage gets paid off. Shouldn't cost too much I think building Insurance was compulsory for us with our mortgage - at least that what the bank told us - but contents optional.

Defo get some advice from a good broker or at least a lender upfront (is you main bank). Otherwise how do you know how much you can borrow and therefore offer? Most places will give you an 'mortgage on principal' which states that all things being equal (valuation ok, searches, survey good) they will lend you the money. The sellers/estate agents will likely want to know you have this so you're not wasting their time. I know a very good IFA in South Yorkshire - he was good with is getting the right company to lend in our situation (which the time was me starting new job and wife on maternity leave).

100w over USB? I do like the idea of monitors powering laptops though (or small systems). Can we standardise on Apples MagSafe connector - just thinking on how many DC-in jacks I find broken in schools.
