  1. It's not going to work until konica produce the new firmware to fix it which may be a number of weeks I suppose. I've chased my contact again today but not had a reply yet. Keep hassling your supplier! The more people that raise this, the sooner companies will fix it.
  2. But isn't that a job for Batman?
  3. Is it sonic spanner?
  4. These at my local cafe/nursery. Always makes me smile when I see them!
  5. Would that be a Spanish inquisition?
  6. Been speaking to Konica about this and sounds like a firmware update is on it's way.
  7. It is worth contacting the manufacturers. The more people pushing for firmware updates to SMB2 on kit the more likely they are to produce patches. Kyocera were really quick to respond and the local supplier updated firmware and fixed scanning yesterday.
  8. This has been mentioned in a few other threads /showthread.php?t=184321 I would log it with Konica support. The more people that contact them the sooner they will deal with it. They will need to fix this anyway when Microsoft removes SMB1 from server2016/win10.
  9. Talking to Konica Minotaur about this. The new c306 models are OK but the older bizhub c284/554 aren't happy. They have updated the firmware and fiddled with options but no joy so far. Hope KM and other copier companies can sort this out pronto. No sane IT depth. wants to keep using SMB1 just for a scanner. Our new HP mfp277 is also fine so it looks like older kit is the problem . Oh yeah buffalo NAS also not working at the moment but QNAP is fine.
  10. Our Konica Minolta c554e are meant to use SMB2 but we can't get them working despite fiddling with settings. Our HP 277MFP is fine onSMB2.KM are sending an engineer out so suspect a firmware update is in order. Several odd drive mapping problems but a bit random with Win7
  11. You may find a program called sydiserver handy as a quick starting point. It grabs everything it can about the server and you can then output to a nice word doc. The downside? If you print it all you'll end up using a lot of paper!
  12. DMX is based on RS485 and should go to 300m T least. However when we had ours installed the suppliers strongly advised us to use a powered splitter as they said that long daisy chains caused problems. It wasn't hugely expensive and gives us more versatility and expansion potential too. They said they have used wireless but prefer cabling.
  13. Bigger than a Dodge RAM?
  14. Anything on cpc.co.uk? We get them in bulk which brings the price down. We try and buy different coloured batches to see how long each set lasts.
  15. Interestingly I noticed a similar thing. Our line was upgraded from 10 to 20 mb a few months ago but the peak has stayed the same at 10 mb. Ookla shows 20/20 mbs so maybe it's the swgfl monitor?
  16. Yes the fly was INSIDE the machine! Snapped this afternoon in Torquay.

  18. Hmm. Would love to chuck my spare IDE cables and drives but I still have a couple of schools using some old Dell's which are IDE!
  19. Is it worth asking the screen motor manufacturer if they have any ideas. You might find replacing the switch with an electronic one would fix it but not all motors will be happy with that.
  20. Yeah, about time they grew up!
  21. We still have 2 berghaus rucksacks from around 10 years ago still going strong.
  22. Possibly an aftermarket colecovision controller? Ah. You've got the Donald Trump remote control. Steve Bannon wants it back.
  23. From memory I think there is also RAID card software for svr2012r2 which may give more info. We have a perc h700 card on our r420. As mentioned idrac is pretty good but you may need the enterprise version for bells and whistles. If you can, set it to email errors. As mentioned -backups before anything else! Veeam free may be you friend.
  24. That's cheating. You've got head start on the rest of us!
