Apparently the National Grid manage the 50 Hz frequency by compensating any slight variations with a corresponding correction so overall clocks "should" be about right.

Surely evil farmers would steal your sheep?

Yes but can you drink it afterwards?

Done. I'm sure the same applies to the NHS too. -
Thanks Alfatec, much appreciated!

And our electricity is off until at least 12:30... 3G just about working at the moment..

About 15cm here and frozen on top. The only things moving are tractors and the odd 4wd. Suspect the hill out of our village is very dodgy. We have still got some leeks in the garden so are defrosting a couple to make leek and potato soup.

Not here! Our school has just closed because of snow, we are in Torbay, and will be closed tomorrow too. About 4cm earlier and still some flurries. We're at the bottom of a steep hill so could be dodgy if it freezes.

It's probably other things too. How many BMS installers keep up with firmware updates and configure their systems securely (and can prove it) -
It's a shame because the hardware is reasonably solid but the lack of decent drivers and software makes them unusable now. I've wasted too much time trying to sort them out.

If there's an automatic spring tensioner you may be able to compress it a bit.

Can you connect to the c: drive over the network and fix it that way?

I'm a big fan of coloured patch cables eg yellow for uplinks, orange for Poe APs, green for printers etc. Love our Brother labeller as well.

Avantis Learnpad Tech Support
southhamster replied to johnwheatley's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
What app were you using to open the ppt? I wonder if a different office app might work better? If you create a ppt on the learnpad itself do you have the same problem. I like the learnpads but as you say, lack of support even just email is disappointing. -
Boris Johnson?

I've also used it to read files from a NAS successfully. Diskinternals also produce other useful utils such as RAID recovery. I've used their software to recover stuff from a teacher's failing external disk too.
