I have a couple of Meraki APs that use the Facebook login. This is only for Internet access though. EDIT: as most users have already logged into Facebook prior to a visit, the splash page jumps straight to approval and they 'check in'. The device mac address and name is recorded but not much else.

Dude for a sanity check, put all of the devices and settings in auto. I have gone from N to 1700AC and the download speed of my laptops still only hits 8MB nearly 50% faster than the old N setup. So many environmental factors go into getting better wifi it'll hurt your brain. EDIT: 2x2 mimo 144 means 72mb up 72mb down. (and we know you never get 72mb) a 3x3 mimo will switch the ratio 1x2 or 2x1 depending on what demands more but you can see how the speeds are optimistic. With overheads and interference distance and contention the throughput can be less than stellar.

radiator tubes should always be at the lowest point allowing bubbles to sit at the top of the radiator. You'll loose liquid over time as the loop is closed but the pipes are porous. 7 years is some great mileage out of an AIO. My Noctua D14 however is still king and only needed a new fan (about the same age)

I had an older SAN here with raid5 went offline, bad drive.. no biggie. New drive and rebuild all good I thought... 2 days later people said their files wouldn't work. I browse the store and all the files ALL were broken, the directories and fil names were all there but everything was broken, all files corrupt. That was no fun. EDIT: The moral of the story is that EVERYTHING is RAID6 now, I don't care if it slower.

Just a thumbs up to the DLP filtering in O365. I'd turned on DLP policies to include GDPR stuff a while ago but nothing ever popped up... Except this week! I got a hit on a NI number being sent, I went to see the staff member about it and she was aware! She'd got the alert as well, she'd sent her own NI number to the DCC to sort her wages out Anyhow does anyone know how I mark the DLP as resolved, it still has an exclamation point on it.

I just have the cable come straight out of the trunking and looped around a coat hook. Teachers like it as it obvious what to do, in some room we have docking stations so there is nothing to do but plonk the laptop. In the future I'll have a single usb c cable to do everything... out of the trunking on a coat hook.

I forgot to mention, WOL broke ages ago for me but I have HP 800 G1s I use the BIOS wakeup feature weekdays a 8:00 (to pickup updates and wot not) clone BIOS is easy on hp. EDIT: you can disable fast start in the BIOS as well. Also for testing you can disable fast start by holding shift when you press shutdown. (you can check your PCs "Up time" in the task manager to check.)

Windows and its drivers CAN affect WOL, have you checked that WOL is still enabled in the drivers Oh, and if you have a ubiquity Unifi switch they don't pass WOL traffic.

ok, fixed it, I needed to enable "allow caching of encrypted pages" IN internet explorer! the videos now embed but error on playback

Thanks to our new filtering mechanism staff want to embed YouTube into PowerPoints. It doesn't work:( but only on the windows 10 with office 2019 the older win8 office 2013 machines work fine. I thought group policy... but the office 2016 GPOs (yeap thats confusing) have only 1 configuration for users to do with the outlook social connector. No machine policies applied. We can go to the video add, search youtube, choose a video but then nothing happens... I tried adding an embed code from youtube and that also fails to do anything. No errors just nothing.

I was looking again at disabling group creation, the conclusion was that you had to have an azure premium account to do this, I see that the document also contains now a licence called "Azure AD Basic EDU licenses" are these free? I can't find them on the googles. I wanted to create some team group SharePoints, but limit their creation to staff.
