    @mavhc just out of interest do you run Unifi kit on your sites or do you just repeat what you read on other websites as your own opinion? Yes, it’s well documented there are firmware issues with the HD’s, it’s looking like 4.0.80 may have finally cracked that, but I run a site with 80 AP’s and 70 switches split over 3 locations, all unifi and I can safely say it’s the best purchase we’ve ever made, install and forget infrastructure at its finest with an unrivalled cost....

    Had a go on a 1909 pc this afternoon and it worked fine. Copied the credprovhost.dll.mui file from c:\windows\system32\en-us folder to the desktop and then edited line 100 in Resource Hacker to “” Booted into Linux via a boot usb drive, copied the file back to the en-us folder and rebooted. Also changed user-192.png to a transparent tile. The end result is this (and with thanks to BKGarry for the wallpaper)

    That’s what we did, uninstalled 80 and reinstalled 79 and everything started working again. And 3.10.10 on the controller

    Nope, it's Chrome v80. Had the same thing yesterday, v79 is fine, v80 is broken. And also, and I feel dirty even typing this, the new Edgium also works fine.....

    I work in an open plan L shaped IT suite in a big space on the corner I share with my deputy. Servers are next to us in a secure area, we have desks, benching, kettle, fridge freezer and a guest chair for @witch to visit. We also have a second area elsewhere in the school for a quiet place and storage. I love working open plan, listening to lessons, chatting with staff and students, generally being front of house but my deputy hates it. I’m also lucky in that security isn’t a major issue so nothing ever goes missing.

    I can now, yes. TASC software are entering the UK library market with a tried and trusted library system based on mol.net Takes a.bak file from, say for example, MLS and seamlessly migrates over, supports sso, opac, parent portal integrations etc Be about another week before the marketing website is live but watch this space as something else connected to this I was told today will also be public in a week or two....

    Just wondering as my 20 node subscription I have for my servers runs out in a couple of weeks, do I really still need to be running it? Has 2019 server got hidden security tricks I've missed or is there something out there that's better (or better yet better and costs £0.00) that does the same job? Ta

    I've given up on it now, there I've said it. Just can't get into the new Doctor, not because Jodie is in the role, just because the writing is so terrible. Will pick it up again once the team of writers regenerates...

    Never had any issues on a Leap Year but did make a lot of money one night sat in a comms room as 00:00 came round on 01:01:2000.... Nothing memorable happened that night other than the pizza delivery was late

    There is a new player in the schools library market announcing at BETT next week. Seamless migration from MLS and automated user creation. I'm currently running the only UK installation and it's fab, we went fully live last week As soon as it's launched and stops being under a NDA I'll link it to this thread....
