  1. I'll be honest, right up to the word "seeing" I wondered where you were going with that....
  2. Couple resolve their marital issues while locating a nuclear warhead
  3. Someone who isn't called Shirley lands a plane
  4. Poor US school produces occasional gifted children
  5. Celcat - geesh that brings back some memories!!!! Just asked Kris if she wants any of the soft toys for her students, I'll let you know
  6. Passenger takes a flight, flight gets diverted, passenger arrives at destination late
  7. I'm still using v7 controlling 400 Win 10 pc's. Occasionally gets stroppy if I'm elevating a prompt but other than that works fine
  8. AB v7 was the last stable version, anything after that has just been beta software at best...
  9. SIMS client is effectively a portable app, you can install and run it from anywhere you like as long as the connect.ini is right....
  10. We have 2, one of which I actually saw yesterday when the student brought it in as they had forgotton the password. Turns out there was no password...
  11. I've got 60 unifi switches in cabinets and 3 unifi xg-16's at the core all linked by 10Gb for the last 3 years and not had a moments issue with them. However I appreciate that Unifi is a bit marmite but bang for buck it's good kit. I also have 80 unifi AP'S and 45 unifi cctv cameras so no possibility of cross manufacturer issues either
  12. We’ve been using Teams Live Events through-out lockdown for running our usual marketing events, open days, whole staff meetings, society guest speakers etc, has worked really well. We did HOD’s the other day as a live event with 20 people spread out over 15 locations, 4 setup as presenters and used q&a to relay questions back. I was running it on a host laptop switching camera views. Works surprisingly well
  13. Can't be too long before its called off I would think, lots of big December events in London being cancelled by the day at the mo. It's a shame as aparently Capita were all set to unveil SIMS v8... but at best if it goes ahead it's going to be half full both with footfall and exhibitors
  14. Same, we just purchase direct from PDQ and claim the educational discount via the order form.
  15. With the mighty Cherries having a year off from the PL it all seams a bit empty this year...... Maybe next year when everything is back to normal
  16. Out of interest you haven't upgraded from office 2010 or 2013 have you? If so you need to rip out all the windows messaging stuff from the registry as it stops auto config working properly with 2016 or 2019. Took BKGARRY and me days to work that one out when I hit that one
  17. We get that as well and I'm reliability told others do. AFAIK there is no way past it other than to ensure users tick the 'remember my password' box and it goes away
  18. Lets just have a distance restricted hug and agree that there is more than one way to do this and at the end of the day if your users press start and find the app they are wanting to run then it's working
  19. You're right!!! I'd forgotten all about that....
  20. Yes there is an argument for it no longer being needed and is very out of date, but at the end of the day I have settled on a quick, clean and centrally managed start menu for students and teachers that gets the job done. I've gone even more retro and gone for the Windows XP experience...
  21. Same product but the performance is much better, no more laggy sub menus opening....
  22. Has anyone got a working combination to get Insight sending emails via 365? I've tried numerous combinations as has a school nearby and we can't work it out. Used to work fine with on-site exchange. TASC support, as good as they are, can't help with this one as it's down to each organization. Any info, here or PM if you don't want to share publicly would be greatly appreciated. Ta
  23. Us three. Was going to remove it this summer and go proper .xml but decided life was too short and stuck with OpenShell for another year
  24. Not tried it yet but this was discussed last month with a potential solution http://www.edugeek.net/forums/cloud-services/216221-teams-eoy-markdown-archive-re-make-end-term.html#post1852463
  25. They are based up the road from us, Richard came in to do a STEM talk to our y10’s last year and do a couple of laps of the cathedral afterwards with all the local press and tv in attendance
