We have a list in sharepoint, which is the people in the naughty room, and how many periods they have to serve. I have made another column that is periods served, and another column that is calculated, periods - periods served. Then i have the list webpart showing where periods left is greater than 0 show them. So the result is we have a list of people who should be in the naughty room, and how many periods left to serve. Is there any easy way to deduct 1 period without having to highlight the student, click edit, then delete the figure and then retype the figure with 1 deducted? Would be nice to have a button next to each student that does periods served +1. But cannot see a way to do this. Hope that makes sense.....

There is no such thing as healthy food . There is only healthy and unhealthy diets. If you ate this so called "healthy" dried fruit and nuts all the time and nothing else would it be good for you? Nope, as you would be lacking certain vitamins, and would be unhealthy.

smoothwall express + BE (ISP) Multi IP
Quackers replied to RabbieBurns's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
I get 8 Static IP's with Zen at home, you might want to invest in a Cisco router such as the 877, which you can get off ebay between £100-£200. You can set it up with one to one and one to many NAT'ing at the same time, works a dream. You will also only get 6 usable IP's out of the 8 as 1 will be used for the router (all DHCP assigned IP's internally get the net via this IP) 1 will be used for the broadcast address 1 will be used as the network address Leaving 5 static public ip's left. -
We have had this on other laptops, like the HP 530. Make sure they have the synaptics mouse driver installed (or equivlennt), then in the utility there is a sensitivty setting, to stop it happening.

I am in total agreement with what srochford said. Venables should most DEFINATLY NOT be identified, if he was, you would have a group go looking for him, which is in no ones interest, and then what if which is very likely there is somebody who looks quite close to him gets killed by this mob? or somebody who just looks like Venables in general, just walking down the street would make that persons life unlivable.

My PS3 Slim that i bought about a month ago is gathering more dust than my Wii. I just keep playing on the Xbox 360, yes i may have to pay £5 a month for the live service, but the experience as a whole is so much better than Playstations. I might buy Dark Rain yet with it being a PS3 exclusive.

We have had our Moodle install running on IIS, with PHP and MySQL for the last year no problems. Its starting to get used more and more, so i thought i would see if using apache would be any quicker on the same hardware. So this morning i have installed apache on to 8080, leaving IIS running on 80. Added these lines to the http.conf # LoadModule php5_module "C:/php5/php5apache2_2.dll" AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .php # configure the path to php.ini PHPIniDir "C:/windows" Changed the DocumentRoot to the same folder that the IIS Moodle install is on. Is there any reason why when i go to http://localhost:8080 i just get a list of the files in that folder, and when i put /index.php at the end it thinks for a few seconds then goes page cannot be displayed? Is there somthing i have missed out? I have tried a <?php phpinfo(); ?> and it loads, and shows mysql enabled....

How much can you spend, if you can stretch your wallet the G15 is a good one (42" about £700 on the net now). Only comes in 42" or 46". It has the Viera Cast feature so you can use Youtube directly on the TV using the remote which is nice as well as other services, used it a few times nice addition. You get the DNLA, 600Hz NeoPDP which does blacks very nice, Freesat.

Always the Panasonic , generally they do not go wrong seem to be the most reliable brand in the Plasma and LCD TV scene. avforums.com might be able to help you more. I have 2 Pannys and would not touch any other brand.

If i was to add a trial version of Windows 2008 R2 to a 2003 Server domain as a an extra domain controller, but then remove it, would Group Policy Preferences still work? I presume when you add 2008 Server it update the domain , do these updates that support Group Policy Preferences get removed when the last 2008 server is removed?

I would be happy if Capita were to move to MySQL. It does not seem that long ago that we paid ££££ to move from MSSQL 2000 -> MSSQL 2005. Now we have to pay ££££ again to move from MSSQL 2005 -> MSSQL 2008 Can somebody tell me what benifits this will bring to us? They would be better off putting the effort into MySQL and supporting OpenOffice too. Maybe then we would not have to upgrade SQL Server every 2-3 years and if we did cost would low.

What do other schools who split their pupils into houses do as a reward for the winning house? or do they get nothing for being the house with the most points?
-
They will not rise too much unless people can afford to buy them. So i do not believe the artical. I think the majority of people being accepted for a mortgage are to do with these goverment schemes. House prices are still way to high compared to what people get paid. Something has got to give.

Yes another not so great feature from the Vista Legacy. Please who is designing this stuff now? Do Microsoft not think about anything anymore?

If i have a 2008 Server R2 running MS Virtual Server, do i need an OS licence for each Virtual Server? or is it covered because there is already a Windows Server licence for the hardware its running on? I have had a look at the Licensing Wiki but it has no real information yet.

Anybody know what the natural replacement for this model server is? We have 6 2950's and like them, but Dell no longer sell them and cannot decide which model has replaced it.
