Apple updated its VPP Program in November so you now just directly buy the Apps and they import into your MDM and don't bother with Spreadsheets and codes. Apple (United Kingdom) - iPad in Education - IT - Volume Purchase Programme So now there is 2 options for VPP.

Talk to me about a replacement to RM Success Maker
Quackers replied to Oaktech's topic in Educational Software
We use to use Success Maker on our SEN PC's, when i pulled us off an RM Network and went Vanilla back in 2004 we still ran Success Maker, it does not need RM Connect to work, and its not even made by RM, its a rebadge job like most of their stuff. -
I'm trying to reduce my coffee intake lots, i feel like crap by the evening if i have coffee all day at work, i never use to drink this much coffee either. So far 1 or 2 cups a day i seem to be sticking to instead of the 10+ . I don't want to be one of those drug addicts who cannot wake up in the morning until i've had a coffee, and I'm guessing thats the next stage if i don't cut down.

We already have Ruckus but have laptops that support Wireless AC now and looks like we will be getting a lot more, just wanted to upgrade some AP's to make full use but looks like i will have to wait.
-
Am i being blind here, or do Ruckus not do any indoor AP's that support 802.11ac ?

Its using 2x RDP add on , a bit like Remote Apps on Server 2008, you can pop shortcuts to just specific apps in your dock, so the the end user they think they have SIMS on there mac.

Do your laptops and AP support both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz? We use to do a 50/50 split on each frequency when we had laptop trolleys worked great. I've noticed a lot of the lower end market laptops and tablets don't support 5Ghz though which is a shame as thats the least congested band.

I second this, we moved from LEA broadband to Zen 3 years ago, best move we ever did. -
AVForums.com is a good place in the classified section. If its the cost Apple have 0% Finance over 10 months on offer at the moment, or you can spread the cost over 4 years if you want to pay around 14.9% APR.

A service pack 2 install of Vista I don't mind using but the original vista could not do basic things right. File copying bug taking twice as long to copy files compared to XP, open network shares was painfully slow due to the tcpip autotune thing they introduced taking 5 mins to open the shared area here. Add things such windows activation for volume license users they introduced, the fact it needed so much ram compared to XP to run well , then all the changes in the OS deployment and you have one nasty OS.

You could just bind them to your Active Directory domain and make them mobile accounts, then their Windows Home directory is synced on every device.

Just playing with the trial of XenApp 6.5 , and i'm getting the XML error messages in Event Viewer 30016 followed by 31003 and cannot log in to the reciever. Thought i would have it fixed when i found CTX125153 - How to Configure XML to Use a Different Port in XenApp 6.0 and 6.5 - Citrix Knowledge Center , running XML service on port 8080 now but still getting the error. Anybody who uses XenApp come across this issue? Don't think i can get tech support as i have not bought it, just a trial.

Taking a laptop to different sites - ideas needed
Quackers replied to sparkeh's topic in How do you do....it?
We have 1 teacher who does that here over 2 sites. We got her a Mac, installed Parallels and had a separate VM for each site she boots up. That was the best virtual machine experience, just did not work as well with others we tried such as Hyper V (Hyper V2 don't support wireless being host ethernet adaptor for example). -
Head is trying to use our Remote Desktop box to send the cover out via email in a morning. Once the list of cover has loaded in IE she would go File, Send, Page via E-Mail. The same process works fine on her Windows 7 station, but in the remote running 2008 R2 it just does nothing when clicked, Outlook 2010 is configured and working and set as the default mail client. This is with IE9. Anyone come across this before?

Can we use the out the box install of Mac OS 10.9 to make an image of after we have installed all the apps or do we need to install the Mac OS from a what use to be retail disc first(before it became free) and create an image from that install? Never done Mac imaging before and keep seeing different things said when i google.
