As soon as I re-enable quotas it's still changing it back to 2gb for administrator despite being set to no limit.. any ideas?

Thank you! Yes that was it - didn't even occur to me seeing the 2GB limit. However in quota management it wasnt showing administrator with any Quotas. Have disabled and then will re-enable quotas. It may be because I backed up the registry shares before the install and then restored? However not sure why it made Administrator with a quota! Thanks again - will now let parity initialisation complete hopefully at some point as still shows as running this morning.

I have just clean installed Server 2016 on a fully working HP server on 2012 R2. For some reason after installing the OS and installing the HP Array management software the data drive is showing 1.49gb free of 1.50gb However, when accessing the data drive, all the files/folders seem to be there and if right click on a folder > properties > it seems to show the correct amount of data. The array size was 276gb. Within the HP storage config utility it shows Logical Drive 2 is undergoing parity initialization Anyone know why it should do this, have never come across it before, if i try and copy a file to the drive larger than 2gb it says I don't have enough room. Should normal drive access restore once initialisation is finished?

Having Updated from DLP 9 to DLP 10, McAfee have advised that the 'Device Unplug' event has been removed from the software. Not sure why they would do it, and it was only after they remoted on, checked the event was ticked to be reported in EPO, they cold not work out why it wasn't working. A few days later their response was, the feature has been removed. Device Plug still gets reported, but device unplug no longer exists, however it has proved valuable as if a user leaves a usb device connected and walks about, i have used the unplug event to successfully retrieve devices that have been removed by other users, as it will report the date,time and who by. apologies if this has already been asked or answered, but if I have a saved custom Report I have made in SIMS.net, is it possible to schedule the report to be ran and export the report to an excel file on a daily basis? If so please could someone help with the command reporter commands / switches. once i have it working from a manual run, I can schedule it with task scheduler thanks.

We have a generic scan to folder on the network staff shared drive for non-confidential stuff. For anything confidential, I set up a scan destination on the copier to a folder in their own user space so they only have access.

I've started deploying windows 10 and office 2016 to staff PCs. Whe launching outlook it complains it cannot find the Interet Subscriptions .pst file, however in group policy i have disabled 'do not include internet calendar integration in outlook' but it still prompts when outlook is opened and have to close off the message and save window before it will open. has anyone else had this (i am running a local exchange 2013 server) and only affects outlook 2016 clients and how did you resolve? thanks.

Are you using the built in the teaming with server 2016? Should use it's own drivers, or get them from the QLOGIC site? I've moved one of our non critical servers to 2016 and was able to use the 2012 R2 drivers rather than the defaults and they have been fine.

Whenever i need new servers we go for HP but build them as such myself. We buy the base model with 1 cpu and RAM, then purchase the extras additional CPUs, RAM, HDDs, NICs etc and install and set up the server in house so it's still a custom build.

What if you had any major network issues? You wouldn't stop to resolve them? Uptime is key and do what I need to ensure everything is online.

I've deployed Windows 10 with Classic shell and on the start menu for the 'APPS' folder i was able to hide the Apps in there. However, i now need to re-enable calculator and sticky notes, and i cannot find the policy setting. I know it's within the user policy in the OU as if i create a new 'domain user' user outside the user OU all the APPS appear and can launch sticky notes and calulator. Can anyone easily help me identify what policy setting it is/was that changes whether they are seen or not. Thanks.

Today the 'todays entries' list is still showing yesterday date entries. DATETIMEFROMPARTS(2017,3,20,0,0,0,0) as i put the above date in it is only using that that. if i change 20 to 19 it will shows events from the 19th, so it's not changing daily. how do i get it to be the new date each day...

It was on Date initially but the same issue occurs it won't read from getDate() either, just blank

I tried the brackets but it said it needed 7 parts. in the SQL Table it is stored as 2017-03-20 00:00:00.000 if events are only going to get added each day, could i leave it as date >= DATEADD(dd, -1, GETDATE()) as there won't be any events for the next date, until they are entered on that date? As a workaround?

removing the parameter and changing to date < getdate() returns TODAYS entries and previous entries. changing to > getdate() returns tomorrows events. So why doesnt just =getdate() return just todays?

This is what i currently have which works - when i browse the web page i get entries with todays date. Want to remove the need of the Parameter option and directly specify the current date in the SQL query.

Sorry, yes it's MS SQL. If i use date = getdate() there are no results returned when i browse the page but there are results when use the cookie method. MS SQL database field is dateTime field type but just using the date part

it's been a while since I've done some asp coding but struggling with one part. I am using dreamweaver to code an ASP page connected to SQL Database. Currently on the ASP page I set a cookie with today's date: Response.Cookies ("todaysdate") = Date() I then filter the database using select * from tablename wherer date=MMColParam with MMColParam in dreamweaver being: Request.Cookies("todaysdate") My question is how do i filter by today's date in the SQL query without using a cookie. I have tried where date = DATE() but that doesnt work. Can anyone help please the correct syntax to filter for today's date entries. thanks.

If cable break or damage then me but if connector issue the company. Although if job done properly should be no issues. Only fibre issue we ever had was rodents due to a run not being armoured which now is.

yes there is, there is catenary which carries existing Fibre and data cables so all in place already, ran several outdoor cables for CCTV. It's not just cable and connector size - pre-term usually comes with a pulling sock/eye to protect all the connectors and i'm sure it was 20-25m we had to drill before.

Splicing looks pretty simple as ive had a look although seems in the past when we've had a mixture of companies using either fuson splicing with pigtails, as well as cold cure and polishing. It will need to go between buildings to just don't want a massive hole on the outside if can help it. Thanks.

Does anyone run their own bare fibre and then just get someone in to terminate it cutting down the cost? Do you get normal fibre companies to terminate or someone independent? Will companies terminate own run fibre? I've ran pre-terminated fibre before but a bit of an annoyance needing to drill 20-25mm holes everywhere just to get the cable gland through. If i can buy the cable per m and run it myself only needing to drill a few mm hole and just get someone in to terminate it should be a bit cheaper? I'd happily buy a Fusion Splicer but for the amount of times i need to run fibre, it's expensive! Thanks
