is there an easy way to revert all machines back to the default logon screen wallpaper?

I have a custom logon wallpaper set. All PCs were imaged from the same image. However, after the update, some default to the windows default, some have kept the custom wallpaper. No fix as yet, but plan to re-image from the start again and then try the update.

If you run a disk cleanup, you can remove the old windows installation. If you don't want to revert back then safe to delete it.

I've identified a bug in windows 10 which I can replicate, but no matter what I do Microsoft want payment to open a support case. has anyone successfully been able to report bugs to Microsoft, and if so how. even my licensing reseller cannot get through to Microsoft for assistance. Anyone else using roaming profiles and get the 'we can't sign you into your account ' after a restart or log off and back.. it because open files are kept open on the server! If you close the connection whilst the machine is rebooting, the user then logs on without any issues.

Think i've solved this myself - in the newer IIS versions, permissions are controlled through Authorization Rules!

I need to have an IIS website which uses integrated windows authentication, but only wants to be accessible by staff. Whats the easiest way to do this - I tried added the students security group to the file NTFS permissions but that didn't work.

I have added the URL to 'local intranet' security options and changed the setting to 'automatically logon with current username and password' however this doesn't work The only way i can get it to work is by changing the automatic logon in the 'internet' zone.

I have an internally hosted IIS website which uses Integrated Windows Authentication only In Internet explorer on Windows 10 Anniversary edition the website works fine - when you open the link it automatically logs in the user. However, having updated to Windows 10 Creators edition, it no longer works - in the browser users are prompted for credentials, but logging in just re-pops up the authentication window. I have 2 VMs each on the 2 different versions and can replicate the issue. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Does any one have a quick solution to get IIS windows authentication working on Server 2012 R2 . on a default install i cannot get it to work either On the site, i disable anonymous, enable Windows authentication, and then when i browse the site i get prompted to login. I have the users added to the NFTS folder permissions. Can anyone help please. thanks

Maybe not at work, however at home whenever i started the computer up it said it couldnt install updates and needed to fit it.. i had to update my AV and then it installed successfully. However, as it was a newer version of the shell experience i was hoping it would cure my other problems at the moment at work with the shell experience not working, no right click on open windows on the taskbar etc. tried everything to try and repair, all come back as ok and no integrity issues.

Nope, doesnt exist on the machines. However, my laptop at home installed it ok last night. downloaded the ISO to do an upgrade- that failed also on the firt_boot migrate_data process! ALmost likely to be linked to the shellexperiencehost issue i've got with teh machines where stuff doesnt work and the dism and sfc doesnt repair it! I've noticed i have 1 KB on the machines which has now been pulled, and the latest update includes a new version of the shell experience host so it may look like a re-image of all pcs yet!

Time to manage? Ours ran on-site without even knowing it was there. no issues and backup just part of the normal daily backup.

All other pcs were imaged, however mine was a clean install from scratch and it still doesnt complete.

So i've tried teh creators update on serveral PCs downloads, verifies then when it get to around 78-80% installing the screen reverts back to the first screen to re-run the download ,verify, and installation again. anyone else experienced this, as i cannot get the update to go on and complete.

I have 200 PCs on windows 10 all were fine. Deployed the latest upates during the holidays.now getting reports of volume slider not coming up , calendar doesnt come up, cannot even open local settings on admin or built in local admin. ran dism check health, restore health - all ok sfc returns no problems. uninstalled the recent updates using the classic type control panel uninstall updates as cannot get into settings, updates. any ideas ? i'm at a lost cause with 200 broken machines but seems to be related to the shell host experience from what i can tell. if i manually run the exe it briefly pops up in task manager then disappears, and windows problem reporting appears then disappears. Sorry to clarify charges to the template changes. Free to edit the content but any major template changes they wanted payment as with being a company all websites loOK the same just different content which is where I didn't agree with the 5 grand cost for their website!

The switch is in open space so not confined. The fans spin high at first bootup but have always then run at their lower speed so doesnt appear to be overworked. judging by the spec sheet they are max 6800 the original fans, the switch UI doesnt state the fan speed but other models usually report a speed of 3500 approx.

Yep sorry, typo error! Does i matter on their spec's relating to air flow and rpm though, if they have a 2 step speed?

I've got a POE switch i want to replace the fans on to make it quieter. Has anyone done this before and can suggest where to get the fans from? it currently has 2 x SUNON EF40201BX-0000-G99 12v 0.74w fans - i cannot find much online relating to the full part number. Can anyone suggest to get some super quiet fans from to replace them with? they are 20x20x40mm the fans don't appear to be cooling the power supply or anything so don't think fan speed etc is critical, although the switch has a fan status and low and high speed depending on load. Much preferred it internal, more control and design flexibility without being charged for wanting changes. Also had better uptime on a single server on-site than with our new external provider. Cost no more to run on-site as use the server for other external access

Never had any issues but it might be because i use commercial products for the SMTP inbound/outbound : For Outbound email i use - Prolateral Outmail For Inbound filtering and forwarding to my server - SpamHitman

i'm just using normal residential broadband - BT Infinity. Port 25 is open - MX record points to a filtering provider, then they forward the mail to me using by dyndns domain. router has dyndns entry so destination always up to date. never had any issues or downtime.
