there is me as 'nm' get paid senior tech as of sept 09 - im full time not been told how many hours my working week is or holiday...waiting to hear back the 1 other tech is term time only and at primaries 1.5 days a week i have argued to point to the head who has since approved the other lad can work any holiday day/week but wont yet set him on full time...he is looking for other jobs! i cant afford to loose him!!! grrr lol

as mentioned in another thread im looking at putting macs in our new art build i am currently writing a report to suggest this. what advantages are there to having macs in education apart from the obvious industry standard for design apps etc

what to you want it to save it to a text file or a db?

good morning all im looking at proposing getting macs for our art department. but i was wondering what happens about when updates are done (ie 10.5 to 10.6) i know you have to pay for these as a home user (is it about £30 ish) but if we end up getting loads i dont wanna shell out £30 * Xnumber of stations

most companies do the follow you printing. but its dependant on you having a 'printer room' it would mean kids going out of lessons to collect if needs be which our head didnt like

do they have this problem at home??? does it have the same results they the kid sits infront of a computer and doesnt touch it. if yes in the latter it would suggest strangeness, if no then try them using a usb kb at a reasonable distance (test proximity). if all else fails just get the kid exorcised

the # is used for anchor links ie home.asp#news you can also use it in the way you showed link then add java to control the link (some scripts make it a link but not a link if that makes sense, so adding the # makes it look/act link a link)

a few questions about moodle; (easier ask people who know when i know nothing about it than spending hours trawling through moodle site and docs) is there a link in to sims? if yes does it allow reading / writing to/from sims? what good points are there about moodle what bad point are there with moodle? is there an online area for kids? thanks

just come off the phone with orange premier (lovley ppl) the blackberry storm 2 will be out on orange soon ish and the iphone before xmas it was going to be oct but now 'before xmas' I find it funny tho; last week I was told categorically that it wouldn't be coming to orange, it was in the pipeline at one point but defiantly not any more. ---

oh i would be willing to try blackberry. the storm 2 looks amazing with the tactile touchscreen but mmm dont think its out yet.

I am due for an upgrade any day soon, i have been looking at the HTC Hero and the Nokia N97 from what i have read the features of the Hero seem the best. But the camera sucks. (messed with a friends the other day and my n95 8gb took far supurior photos so i dont want to downgrade really. i want an iphone 3gs but i would have to wait til jan and change from orange to o2 what phones have you guys got and what would you suggest? (ps i have had a long line of htc (under the xda and spv names) through the years all windows powered. would like to try something different but i need the camera. if you saw my facebook profile you would see why.

We have just had our prospectus redone and the company tried to sell us a fancy flash based i'd guess page turning thing for the web site. at £300 i told them not to bother i'd find one online. but after a search or two i cant find any free ones. any one any ideas. example incase you havent the faintest.
