dun, i think im finally getting this joomla gubbins! not as easy as you all make out.... although i think im unaccustomed to learning things that i cant pick up in 5 mins and actually have to mess with it

NON WORK: i am really new to joolma and would like some help in adding the rokslideshow mod to a site of mine Sunshade Solutions Ltd. if you look at the site above i want to add the slideshow to the top banner right of the logo im sure this is simple but need help the template is the rt_novus_j15 theme help appreciated

errr random, i use the lovley wilkinson sword disposable gubbins as they have a lil plastic bit between the blades that u can empty the trapped hair out with, so cheap and decent shave i refuse to spend £10+ on replacement blades for the mac thingies

i have lots of experience running asp with iis6/7 but none running joomla with it. but i have ran/tested joomla on wamp im goin have a bash tonight remotly when no one will notice for 5 mins

is there a joomla component to browse files in the site? what i mean is if you look at the information page on our site Information - Painsley Catholic College the list of files generated by a bit (lot) of asp to read a certain folder and browse the files/folders

Not tested really but is it possible to run WAMP & IIS on the same server??? i am looking a redoing the school site in Joomla! but want to do it on our web server with the current site live still? are there any problems in doing this?

what is the component that you use for the picture banner? is it easy for the images to be changed?

they look good! mmmm may cancel my 1&1 account as i have done bugger all with it ever (its on my personal list, which work/gf/beer over rules alot) i have used netcentral but found them expensive. do you know what support is like with them? i hate not being in control! so when i have issues its down to them. we host our own but i that has pros and cons! i am looking at redoing the school site with joomla when time permits!

if i use them and i should get £1000 they get £300 but i still get £700???? i dont use them i get sfa! doesnt sound too bad to me!

just had a call from these guys about claiming back any payment protection etc anyone useed these? whats the catch?

i wouldnt bother with a temp solution. for general seo and linking sake ie if someone links to your temp site then you remove it and replace with the new one additionally getting it listed in google etc will take time

Could do with 2x full sets (2xcymk) for a HP 3600 and 2x full sets of ink for HP No 363 Ink (all colours) am sure i have more to order than this lol but its a start

i have had to stay here before i had the net at new house, i was told to fill in a form, never bothered tho. the problem is its hard to measure time when at home as im usually cooking/keeping the gf happy at the same time, and generally have a beer in hand too. i think heads think of us like teaching staff who are paid to work at home/out of school hours. i just wish i could start at 10 lol wouldnt mind finishing later i just hate mornings (esp when ill lol)

apparently the new version does OS deployment too, and ""upgrades"" from xp to vista/7. guess by seeing what is allocated when it was xp then installing vista/7 then allocating the same

after reading the thread by @ictsm i was wondering what time you all start? i get paid about 8-4 (never been told my hours officially but i think it works out this way). sometimes end up making the call to down stairs to ask if the school is open late (past 6) if im busy.

i used to be a full on note pad man, coding in asp, creating the look etc then coding it all by hand.....god how time consuming! i say joomla! i have used it a few times now, the only problem i have is that it requires a sql db and that ups the hosting by a few quid. but god does it save time im still getting to grips with it yet, not tried to do the design yet tho

Specops Gpupdate - what a great app! i know there are a few threads about this but i have to say that its great and free! Specops Inventory - has anyone tried this??? it looks cool and useful but i havent the time today to set it up due to the requirement of a sql db. what are peoples thoughts on this?

i always see the banner for the 'please display our adverts we need hits' but i have no ad blocker installed on this station and feel guilty. i dont get the normal iframe type filter page in place of an ad. am i alone.....i feel bad!
