i'll finish reading the above after posting but i think that he is right in the sense that he is teaching you to pass a test not how to drive. i dont drive, but ppl have always said that you learn to drive after you pass.

Thanks all. I have now wired up all servers to the 3000s I will be taking some off to a 1500 and then deciding what do with the rest. To heavy for eBay lol jk. really need some help with UPS' please is there a logic set/rules for number of UPS' per server? ie they have many outputs for power but only one for RS232. my predecessor didnt seem to have much of an idea and nor do i. at present i am rearranging the server cab and struggling to find space. also do you guys and gal leave much space between servers, UPS'? looks like we are going to have to upgrade our air con too lol at present in our server cab we have- server 1 server 2 server 3 mis server web server exchange server nas 1 nas 2 smartcache we will have server 4 server 5 admin server terminal server gateway server UPS wise we have APC 750 APC 750 APC 1000 APC 1500 APC 3000 APC 3000 Waiting to go in (somewhere!) APC 1500 and another in storage (cant remember what one tho)

Personally i have 58 new stations arriving, got to build them and find somewhere for them to live until a new build is complete, lots of staff laptops to check (woot safeguarding) and county in to install an additional file server. gotta order CC4 and a Terminal Server. Rearrange the server cab whilst listening to my ipod. and eat microwavable crap

at the bottom of the page the text that lists 'powered by vb4 etc' is unreadable with the dark blue theme

on the main anouncements page about vb4 is says there are 10 comments (one is mine) yet only showing 1 comment i dont know if this is a bug or that the other 9 need approving just thought id drop a line

i have always have had a beard since i was 15ish (24 now) its just dependant style/spape/length. at the moment its gone past 'fashion stubble' to 'i need a shave' for a few months last year i was clean shaven
