dont know if it has been said alread but the price of apps is stupid! i was sat in the pub wiht a friend who has a backberry,i have an iphone (im not championing them here just giving facts) he went thru the app market and quoted some prices. the one that sticks out to me was an app to schedule txt and email sent times iphone 59p backberry £60

had to manually backup most the network to nas today, (second of many backup measures in place before it gets zapped) copy - obviously out dated lol xcopy - worked great in the past, not for this tho robocopy - mother flipping great! really wish my memory was better and remembered the limits of xcopy ps also watched fridays it crowd whilst i was struggling with xcopy!

part of my jd is to keep a breast of current news and dev, so i build a new computer costing over 1k, i didnt ask for that back, i would have been told to f-off. the old head of it get brought a pc every 4-5 years i needed a pen drive for work/home so i paid for one, i needed lots of pen drives for builds - i got school to pay. rant/ sorry im really hot today and brain fubar

i get so angry when staff come and say 'my pen drive has been lost/stolen/damaged.... can i have one?' they are £5 from play, go and get one!!! i paid for my own.... you earn more, if the school supplied the staff with their own it would cost a lot .... go, run, play.com, do it nowww /rant

well the head here says right i have X amout to spend, what do we need??? we NEED better air con in the server room, its way too hot in there.

i would love to go SAN but we have all fairly new servers so the head would not go for this. i would love a managed wireless system but the wireless in the school isnt used enough to warrant this

the cable from the projector is in the dsub port of the splitter, the monitor on the dvi port, splitter plugged in to the dvi on the computer. there is an image on the monitor but not on the projector.

i get signal on the pc but not projector

i am having trouble getting these (DVI-I Splitter Gold - Laptop Computer to two 2 Dual: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo) to work. its to connect a pc to a projector, the pc has 2x dvi outputs dvi monitor connecting to a dsub projector. any ideas

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 G DX Lens they are hong kong based but i have used twice (same lens - dropped the first doh) my friend has one and it is amazing - focus time is almost 0! i would say dont worry about getting to much in the shot, learn to use what you have. i got a 1.8 purly for gig photography (low light). i am still learning mind, but happy with the results so far. i would say that a great trick/advantage of digital is shoot til your card is full, and take lots of the same thing. i learnt along time ago that whilst it looks in focus on the lcd its not when its blown up on screen - shooting afew times you are more likely to get a good shot + blinking of the subject is reduced. dont spend loads on equip, i have just finished my kit now (canon 450d, 18-55, 50 1.8, 70-200 + jessops flash ... oh and a bag of fleabay) i have a lens for each occasion and the power to use it, i just need the experience and knowledge to use it. ps. if you want wider that 18mm it cost ... alot. unless you go manual focus old lenses. i can prob ask my make the site he gets his from but i believe they are forums. he told me a quick trick - ask uni's that are/maybe getting rid of old stuff. when you do get on look at deviantart.com - shameless plug time - gibboap on deviantART pps. alwas shoot 'photography' in raw, (and remember to take it off raw when shooting prat around 'facebook' images, really need to bulk convert a load of raw stuff from a house party the other week arrrg) i have rescued a load of photos from gigs that the lighting was pooh.
