first arrived to a rather cold school - boiler room flooded... alot due to broken sumps due to this the power had to be turned off at 10mins notice. that means all comps and projectors, servers the lot didnt get projectors off, and as per the servers were an pain to get back up. now we have got most working and i am ignoring the phone as i eat.... roll on beer o'clock!

updating and expanding on our esafety booklet we give to kids and adding a section on mobile safety. having had an iphone for a year i have little experience with other OSs and never needed to lock myself out of it in this way. i have found some stuff on iphone but nothing else. does anyone know if there are similar things to parental controls on the iphone on android and bb?? (eg disable browser app store etc) cheers

well last night (after a few drinks) i dropped my iPhone 3GS in errrm some water. tried to turn it off (cleaver me) then dried it out ya know how you do, in the oven wrapped in a towel on very low heat.... it worked, then dried it further on a radiator. the phone works, rings, answers (via touch) but the screen is buggered, white with blue lines. have anyof you experience with changing screens on the thiphone??? or getting them repaired, i have changed screens on nokia n95 and doubt ill find it difficult merry christmas all

What makes a good teacher ??? One that doesn't send a kid from a class room (with a phone in ) 10 mins the other end of the school to tell me that a mouse is unplugged. While that seems selfish from a techy point of view the lack of logic and common sense (with both lack of technical knowledge (if you would call it that) in fixing said problem, and reason for sending two kids to miss 20 mins of less on when there is a phone/help desk, is beyond me) must also translate to their teaching marking etc I am not wanting to teacher bash here but just state opinion. The strange think is that our school is on of the top performing in the county and country... They must be good teachers and my above opinions are either wrong or just think how good the school would be if they had a bit more logic and common sense. /(slightly Abbott ale induced) rant Live long and prosper lol
