I was wondering if anyone knows of a extension for joomla that would popup on the home page of our site and (annoyingly) ask people to do a survey (not my idea) like b&q site does and O so many others

we look after 6 primaries now, and some have it rooms some have trollies, it works for some now for others, it depends on the staff and the building. if staff havent the time to unpack them, then put them away (neatly) then it will be a nightmare. also when software updates are pushed out depending on your network this may cause issues, as each laptop will get the update when its turned on (dependant what system you have). normal stations (if powered on first thing) will get updates first thing. if you are a primary on one floor, or are having a trolley per floor then this will go in your favour. have you in house IT support?

we are putting in a new server in a primary sometime this year, and looking at the dates for server 2008r2 is it worth the wait for 2012? i know extended support is until 2018 but we arnt long off 2012. the sensible part of me thinks we should wait until 2012 is at least a year old.

when reading a thread started by _EDUGEEKER_ (hope that not a read person) it would be helpful to see by changing the username colour which posts were by _EDUGEEKER_. sometimes i have to scroll to the top/go back to the front page etc

have adobe reader taking upto 2hours to 'flatten' the document before printing, has anyone seen this? resolution?

has this got a easyish gui to config? is that gui web or an app. can you select what folders you share. i have tv, movies, phone videos, torrents (complete, incomplete etc). if it searched for all videos it would share these, i only want TV & Movies. Thanks Geoff

I want to have my HP N36L running linux mainly due to WHS using too much processing power. all i use this device for is DLNA (and bit torrent). I had a quick mess last night but could not seem to find a good, easy DNLA server/distro. Has anyone any advice, experience with this? many thanks!

Me and my SO recently brought our first house. We have been getting loads of letters for the previous occupant and I assume her ex. I have been handing these into the estate agent as requested. But recently I've gotten sick of the amount of letters and opened them. They are all debt collectors!!! I immediately contacted the debt collectors to inform that they no longer lived here some simply removed the address the one today stated it was a recent loan ie last month!!! How can I stop him getting loans at this address? Sorry I'm new to this house business and I knew you lots could help!

I have been asked to do a website for two of our primaries, out of hours and me being paid but how much do i charge, i will be using joomla, hosting here on our servers it will be a small joomla site, gallery, info news, rubberdocs, pages on each year group please help any ideas on price??? btw apparently the head is coming here later today eeek

well mine microserver arrived wed, i have, for the time being, just installed 2008r2, will be installing home server but i didnt order more ram and didnt read the min specs (2gb for home server, 512 for 2008r2 ) I have chucked in a 1tb, 2tb, 500gb drives in so far. was watching a bit of sg1 streaming from it to my tv last night (had to turn off when the missus got home ) but on the whole im very pleased with it and when i have my office finished it will be great. getting my ipad soon so will be remote desktoping to it to manage (hopefully easier than iphone) thanks again folks
