The 2X MDM has changed since that link above it's now: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tcx.mdm&hl=en That does similar to the Pushbullet thing you mentioned, though it's a mobile interface for any browser on the same network (I've got rules on my router at home so if I forget my phone I can access and text from it anywhere via a browser)... Handcent has the Handcent Anywhere service too if you subscribe (I don't use that service, but I do subscribe, mainly to support the developers and for the backups (I've got 40,000+ texts, 37,000+ with one person that I don't want to lose lol)...) I'll check out Pushbullet though - sounds a bit like the Chrome to Phone thing that was big a while ago...

To a certain extent I agree - I think the automatic task killers that constantly monitor and kill apps etc. are bad, but they do help every so often... I use ES Task Manager that lets me kill apps manually, and that does make a big difference when I notice things getting a bit sluggish... (it has other features too)...

+1 for Impero without a shadow of a doubt... it's a fantastic piece of kit, and can probably save you money by reducing the need for other solutions you may have in place... ANME members get a decent discount for it too if you've not had a quote from anyone else in the last three months... (ANME - Join (All free))

Even 5.0.03? May be worth dropping back down to that? The only stability issues I've had with Impero were RAM related on the server, as soon as I increased that it was back to normal... I've always found it to be stable, even the beta versions (currently on 5.0.08)...

I'd definitely recommend getting in touch with [email protected] and ask for the keyword lists - should be a great start, and seeing how they've got them set up is a great indication of the best way to make your own... They'll either send the lists for you to import them yourself, or remote on your Impero server and import them for you...

It'd be great if you can make it, most of the companies supporting this meeting are on the meeting page now, hopefully there'll be something your boss will think is important you see lol...

You'll get an email to verify your email address when you first log in... So you should get an email with a link to verify it after you've reset your password...

I've not had any emails from them about it - I just checked the page as I restarted my browser and that tab loaded (it's not loaded while it's been down)... I just tried logging on, then had to reset my password to get back in and get it to meet the new complexity requirements...

They've been to a previous ANME meeting and I was really impressed with everything it does - sadly I've not yet convinced the powers-that-be to let me get it, but showing more and more teachers so hoping the message goes back showing enough demand... They wouldn't be able to charge the annual fee if you could update it yourself each year

It depends which modules you want too, e.g. inVentry Anywhere / Student Reg etc. So it's not as simple as just putting a price list up...

SWGfL but it wouldn't surprise me if that's what's causing it - more an more services are getting wise to interception like that - I've had to add loads to bypass the scanning for legitimate sites over the past few weeks...

Can't help with the connectivity issues as I've just allowed all traffic out through the firewall, but have you tried contacting Google? Their support is pretty good - I had an issue with Google Drive Sync a while ago, turned out it was because I moved the data I wanted to back up to the root of a drive with shadow copies enabled, so it was trying to sync that hidden system folder too - moved it and it was okay... but they were pretty good helping...

We've used inVentry since it was quite a new product and it's pretty good... Don't think it does the H&S info - I've requested this a few times for contractors on site etc.

I've only installed Win10 Education rather than Pro, and only on my PC so far, US is the only option for the display language on that (though everything else is set to UK and I've not noticed any difference yet) so RSAT installed okay that way...

Not that I've seen... They're Dell Optiplex 390's - just on the off-chance anyone's had the same with those...

Pretty sure it's not WSUS as they're all in one group on that so it would affect more than just those... As for classroom management - I've disabled all the Power Management features in Impero to rule that out... We've checked the power settings on the PC and there's nothing that should be causing it, we've tried changing the power policy to high performance and making sure that's set to never shut down / standby etc. I think I've checked all the usual causes, it's really got me stumped though!

Thanks for the suggestion... There are no GPO's specific to that OU, I'll check the GPO's anyway though just in case... It only happens if it's been left for a while, or sometimes as soon as they log off, it shuts down instead of logging off...
