I'd got this installed on the old webserver too, and have been looking at that - completely forgotten that I'd also installed it on the old DC to get it working! Copied the directories and databases over, changed the DNS and it's all working again! Thanks all!

Think I'm getting there now - I'd forgotten I'd installed IIS on the second DC last time!

It's years since I set it up, but that rings a bell... however, I think the only settings to change in IIS is the domain not any server names / IPs... unless I'm missing something... Thanks @FragglePete - looking now...

Hi All, The pages on Devizes School site seem to have gone (or at least moved) now, so can't look there... if anyone's using this, do you know / can you remember where to change the settings for the LDAP server? Just replaced the DCs over half term and moved to 2012R2, but no one can get in to book rooms etc. now. Thanks, Rick

Just off the Charnock Richard Services on the M6 in Lancashire... We're hoping to arrange meetings in other areas in the next 12 months (looking at the London area / Midlands / South Coast atm)... The meeting locations are based on member locations, so the best way to know where to put the meetings on next is as member numbers grow in those areas... I'm just waiting for confirmation from @rpmoore about iBoss being at the next ANME meeting on the 25th June - I'll post again if/when they confirm, all ANME members will receive an invitation to the meeting, so it could be a good way of seeing what they've got to offer...

I've used the Sophos UTM / Security Gateway for several years now and have been extremely happy with the features and reliability of it... Happy to put you in touch with someone at Sophos for more information or someone for a quote if you're interested...

We've always used Wordpad too, it's worked here, but I'm intrigued about @mjk's suggestion of ablword, so going to investigate that for the next lot of exams.

I guess anyone that you think may tweet information you'd like to be able to retweet quickly... Local radio stations are usually good if they tweet news articles, or some have separate Twitter accounts for their news teams... then BBC news maybe... I manage ours, though we don't do a lot with it... but I try to minimise the accounts followed in case people think it's an endorsement of some kind. Several departments at my school have their own Twitter accounts too, which the school account follows, but it's a rule that no school Twitter accounts should ever follow student accounts - to force any communication to be through official school email.

Thanks @jenny_urey - I've always said our experience doesn't seem to be the norm when talking about it... I try to have as little to do with SIMS as possible, so the decision wasn't one I was involved with... I'm trying to keep as far from it as possible still now! Got the PC in 2012!! Time for a replacement soon lol... It's still as fast as it was the day I got it though... love it...

Sophos's completely free AV has anti-theft features too, including sending an SMS to the phone you lock it from with the GPS coordinates so you may be able to find out where it is... Worth checking out before you spend... An AV that scans and notifies about all Apps installed & updated is a good way to know when Android sneakily updates background apps & the Play store / Play Services etc. as the phone doesn't notify about them, but the AV does...

I had a One Plus One for a while while I was waiting to get my Nexus 6 and loved it, it's a great phone... I've been on Android for a few years now and love that too, it's so much better than the others... I always buy SIM-free to avoid the bloatware, and do root, but you certainly don't need to for general use... I sent this to someone recently, so thought I'd just paste it here... I'd definitely suggest radio controlled clocks instead too - I got one at home ages ago, and have just replaced my office clock with one - far easier, no set up as it sets itself as soon as you put the battery in... The one I've got is Acctim 74367 Peron Radio Controlled Wall Clock, Silver: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home so a reasonable price for a decent quality clock... (My watch is radio controlled too, I'd never get a clock or watch that isn't now lol)

I've run just the executable in the past, but only on the terminal server for remote access when the C drive was full and I couldn't expand it without rebooting, and I to free some space up quickly... I wouldn't use it on a server to monitor/automatically do anything...
