No, we went with Parago in the end. We've not had chance to use it properly yet due to other commitments but I'll feedback when I've had a better go with it.

Meraki can do this - and its free for up to 100 devices. Its what we use for our staff iPads.

Altaro cost me £217 for up to 5VMs. Then its £63 annually after the first year for support/updates. Their pricing is based on the number of hosts, not the number of sockets. NOTE: If you run a local exchange server and want the item level restore feature you'll need the Unlimited edition which is nearer £400.

Altaro - its simple, works well, copes with multiple backup locations, including rotating external drives etc... Their support is very good too. We use it to backup 4 VMs to a NAS box in the same cabinet, then an 'offsite' backup to a second NAS in another building. Granular level file restore is impressively easy and fast. You can download it and try it free for 30 days with unlimited VMs, after that you can use it with 2VMs for free, forever (if you are a spiceworks user). I've never used Veeam to compare, but its far superior to anything else I've used.

We went with Parago after having several companies in to do demos. They are coming in over easter to tag everything and load it into the system - saving us the headache of doing it! I'm testing the discover agent for PCs today - so far so good.

I've been checking our firewall logs and noticed a huge amount of connections to sophosxl.net Over the last 7 days we have had 219,874 connections to sophosxl.net. That's 12% of all connections! sophosxl.net is used by Sophos clients (not the server) to look up the most up to date threat info directly from SophosLabs without waiting for the definitions to be updated by the local server. They call it Live Protection and I understand how it should work, but it seems excessive to me. This has come up many times before. There are ways to script it, but the general consensus is that Onedrive for business isn't designed to replace your homedrive and so shouldn't be used that way. You can setup groups, e.g. an SLT group, and share documents that way but again that shouldn't be a substitute for a locally stored (and properly backed up) shared drive.

If the ceiling is 20ft high, then there's obviously quite a long cable run. The power of the VGA output will vary across all devices, but is likely to be lower on laptops. You could try adding an active VGA splitter in between the offending laptop and the cable to the projector. This should ensure a 'strong' VGA signal is being sent to the projector.

We had the same issue. Never found a reliable solution so looked at other options. We decided to use Wifi Photo Transfer. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/wifi-photo-transfer/id380326191?mt=8 It installs a small app on the iPad which the staff open and can then get their photos and videos on any PC via wifi. Works a treat, especially if you have assigned static IPs to your iPads as then staff can create a shortcut/link to their own iPad.

Have you run GPO modelling to check the certificate policy is being applied to the relevant OUs? What DNS forwarders are you using?

Ours is very simple. Just the time/date, a window for video/photos, and a scrolling welcome message that gets updated manually once a week. The rest is just a background. When I get more time I might try adding something else such as a news feed but it seems to do the trick at the moment so if it 'aint broke...
