Can anyone advise on a cause and fix for XML files opening in Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7? It's a network wide issue which is affecting staff from opening pupil linked documents from SIMS such as reports/progress checks/grades etc... By default they are opening in IE opposed to either Excel or Word (Office 2013). I've instructed staff on how to manually set the file association however I really need a fix that can be pushed out to all workstations used by staff.

Hey, i'm looking to turn off IE7 Compatibility Mode via group policy - I know where to find it but we have several GPO's in place and I don't know which one it has been applied to. I have check a handful so far, with no luck. Therefore my question would be; is there a way to find which policy it has been applied to without checking each one? Can you search or does anyone know of a way to locate it?

The member of staff who does the newsletter was uncomfortable using Pages. They are looking for something that is basic to use but can deliver professional looking results.

Please could you send me their contact details and their website address? Thanks, Shaun - - - Updated - - - I've sent you a PM. Thanks, Shaun

Thanks. I will check them out.

There doesn't seem to be a caterogy for this. We currently use Word for creating our weekly newsletter. Does anyone know of any software that we can use for this. Something that perhaps has templates and photos and text can be dragged and dropped on the page?

There doesn't seem to be a caterogy for website. We have a website that was created using WordPress, does anyone know of anyone or any company who would be willing to offer support and major changes to our website on a request only basis?

Just wanted to say thanks as I have applied the templates and have been able to disable the message preview pop up via GPO!

Thanks, I'll have a go!

Thanks. I've taken a look at this. Got the administrative template downloaded, just trying to figure out how to apply it? It's not an install as such, it appears to be a folder full of files.

I know that you can carry out the following to the disable the message arrival preview in Outlook 2013 in the bottom right hand side of the taskbar: File/Options/Mail – Message arrival – untick ‘Display a Desktop Alert’ However, does anyone know how you can do this in group policy? Thanks.

We have a shared outlook calendar for all staff which has existed for over 10 years. We use an online booking system and there is the facilityfor bookings to be exported to an Outlook calendar. We want to be able toexport the bookings to the shared calendar but we don't seem to be able to dothis. We can only add it for a user’s own calendar. The problem is that we needto locate the staff calendar in order to apply it here but as the calendar has existedfor a while I don't know where it originates from so I don't exactly know itsname or how to find it. We have a shortcut which opens the shared calendar. Any suggestions on how to find out the name of the calendar or where it exists within Exchange please? Thank you.

Looking forward to the meeting. Cool watch donated by Casio for one of the raffle prizes :-)

Yes we have all of those sites unblocked within our filter. The performance of the site is good. Quick to navigate and not waiting for pages to load. We would prefer to use IE but DL couldn't offer us a solution for IE to work.
-
We are subscribed to DL Online - Login for ICT. We can access the resources ok but we cannot view the tests for pupils/staff/admins in IE11. We have tried IE9 with the same outcome. A blank screen! The tests display in Chrome but our preferred and default browser for pupils is IE so we need to resolve the issue in IE ideally. Has anyone any suggestions or perhaps you have experienced this issue as well and can advised? Thanks in advance!
