  1. I can't see our 2003 DAF Convoy minibus being stolen to order somehow.
  2. I just took our extremely dirty minibus to the local carwash operated by a gang of Polish guys. It had green algae around the seals and engrained pigeon poo and worse. It's a hi-top, Lord knows what the roof was like! Anyway, I took it in a lunchtime and they said come back at 2pm. I got back at 1.45pm and it was ready and waiting, looking pristine inside and out. They had even hung an air-freshener from the mirror. All for £35.
  3. There are any number of good tutorials on Youtube. I'd start there. As others have said, getting the lighting correct is over half the battle. I use Premier Pro CS4 but there a a few sub £100 packages that will chroma key. Make sure your school uniform isn't green
  4. Nice article in our local rag.
  5. Mine were when I was your age and I did it all the time. I'm now wishing I hadn't. But don't pay any attention to me, what do I know?
  6. Don't use your teeth. Dentists get paid enough as it is!
  7. Our new HT brought in Go4Schools and I got involved at the installation stage. I have to say they are very nice helpful people and it was a relatively painless installation. I don't think we've started to use it yet.

  9. Since I made the feeders squirrel-proof, it has deterred the woodpeckers. In the past, we have had a Green woodpecker but they are mainly Great Spotted. I think they are responsible for killing a nice acacia tree my mother got us when we moved in. There was a juvenile magpie on the patio when I was getting breakfast this morning.
  10. I was lucky enough to see our goldfinches fledge a last week. First one, followed by another three. Podgy Pigeon did look earthbound until the neighbours' cat had a go at him. I think he owed his escape to a chattering magpie giving the game away. The pigeons and magpies seem quite tolerant of each other.
  11. We've got loads in our garden. Anyone else noticed an increase in population?
  12. I'm not sure I understand your problem with Google Forms. If the first question is what is your name? would that work. As for multiple attempts, only accept the one with the earliest datestamp.
  13. He's a local boy and lots of his old chums here are posting messages on FB.
  14. I know you asked for serious suggestions and this may be a bit frivolous but I often look out on the playground and think "if only we could harness all that energy". Perhaps it is feasible, in Africa they have playground equipment that pumps water.
  15. Use your brain Gareth. He's a solicitor. He's not going to write to you unless you cough up £20, or whatever the going rate is now?
  16. A grass-cutting press, that compacts the grass into an ultra-small block that could possibly be recycled or used as animal feed. Maybe it would also extract liquid fertilizer?
  17. There's only just enough room for me in my office. Luckily, the SENCO lets me spread out at the back of the Learning Resource room, which has loads of bench space and sockets.
  18. We finally have a wireless network and I've noticed that Gmail has to be accessed via the URL as the App doesn't recognise the Proxy Server on my android phone.
  19. I've only skimmed this so apologies if I'm repeating anything but we have what sounds like a similar issue which I think is to do with file associations because "open with" and then selecting the correct application and it is fine.
  20. Birmingham's loss @Little-Miss. Best of luck.
  21. I'll try to a client, I don't suppose the cheapo Buffalo NAS is particularly fast.
  22. I've not seen the problem for a few weeks now (famous last words) but I did turn off the SSL Digital signing and the transfer rate went up from around 58MB/s to 70MB/s and seemed pretty steady. I've been constantly copying a 11GB file from one of the NAS backups to the server and it has been around there all day. What sort of transfer rate would you expect to see copying a big file across a 1Gb network?
  23. Don McLean - Starry, Starry Night - Art
  24. They charge enough for the support
  25. You forgot the life raft and sat-beacon With all that kit I'd be inclined to ditch the bike and use a car.
