  1. World Airways Evacuation From Da Nang To Saigon 1975 on Vimeo
  2. A bit of a bodge would be to take the audio straight from the camera into something like audacity and then sync that to the exisiting footage. There might be a few fiddly sync issues. If it is the audio settings changing, then capture just the first bit that works and export that as an avi file. Then experiment with bit that doesn't work, changing the capture audio settings. Premiere CS4 can display the footage properties, other editing software can probably do the same.
  3. Give Movie Maker a try.
  4. I use Kill and that's slow. Nature of the beast, I think. I've also used the this tool, which is fast and fun to use. http://www.stayfitbug.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/sledgehammer.jpg
  5. Cognitive Function Test.. I scored 49 but I think that is partly down to being conditioned to check and double check online forms, so I didn't get very far on the timed tests.
  6. Sorted with invaluable help from @Arthur and a neat utility.
  7. There is no COA sticker, perhaps Fred peeled it off! Guess I'll have to give him a call.
  8. We bought the laptop as a retirement present for our ex Bursar. She brought it in this week because she had it repaired and now it needs reactivating. If there is a COA label I can't find it so I ran Belarc advisor on it in safe mode and took the product key it came back with. The omline activation doesn't accept this code. I phoned MS and it wouldn't activate that way. They said it must be faulty and they couldn't help. Any suggestions gratefully received.
  9. One of my pre-SATS jobs is to disable the spellcheck on Alphasmarts. I wasn't asked to do it this year, so I assume nobody used one.
  10. Zooming in will reduce the camera depth of field, which is why you should manual focus on a long zoom.
  11. Did you ever resolve this? Just had one do the same here. I've tried everything the OP did.

  13. The Government is about to announce the introduction of ANOTHER public holiday, to celebrate the death of the world's nastiest piece of work, Bin Laden. All together now: "We're all going on Osama Holiday
  14. The results of Bin Ladens DNA have come back with results as follows:- 24% cocoa , 52% coconut , 18% sugar and 6 % milk Experts say this is probably due to the bounty on his head
  15. And then when the digger goes through a cable and the school loses everything, you can go round and ask if you can use theirs. In fact, if you set up their security for them, you won't even need to ask. Not that I recommend such action.
  16. The beans on toast is a masterstroke.
  17. I'm not sure if it's related but I've just received an email from our LEA support to say that the Spring upgrade knackers Nova-T6 and there's a fix on Solus. We haven't had any problems to date and we don't use nova-t6.
  18. Staff at all three Butlin resorts in Bognor Regis, Minehead and Skegness are instructed to ban anyone found guilty of bumping into each other in the electric cars equipped with huge bumpers. Bemused customers who assume that the ‘no bumping sign’ is in jest are told to drive around slowly in circles rather than crash into anyone else for fear of an injury that could result in the resort being sued.
  19. The following is an actual question given on a University of Arizona chemistry mid-term, and an actual answer turned in by a student. The answer by one student was so 'profound' that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well : Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)? Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following: First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving, which is unlikely.. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives two possibilities: 1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose. 2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over. So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, 'It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,' and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct..... .....leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting 'Oh my God.'
  20. Does anyone else use this? We've found that it doesn't really tell us anything new about 99% of the kids but does pick up the odd anomaly. We are considering if it is worth the money and we would be interested in other views.
  21. I can't get into the site. So are they saying they will no longer support Server 2003 after Spring 2012. What about XP?
