Never watched it on Sky, so I can't comment but C4 wasn't so bad. The IPL coverage, where they kept showing shots of a motorbike, Passat covered in graffiti and a load of slappers with pom poms was p!ss poor.

Cricket is one of the few sports that lends itself to commercial tv because they can slip an advert in between overs. ITV F1 was a nightmare.

Isn't it going to be needed for the next SIMS upgrade? I've put it on XP machines with no ill effects.

That will be a great shame, especially if the pay to view people get the rights. I'm surprised because the BBC coverage goes all over the world, so they must get a bit back. I suppose they have done their homework and I'd far rather keep BBC4 and lose F1.

You could well be right. That's why I thought swapping them over might help. If the problem goes with it, I'd say the caddy is at fault. It is the second one we got as the first had bits rattling about inside!

They are both 2003 and the curriculum one is fine. I might swap the caddies over and see if that makes a difference. I'm using the front port at the moment because the rear ones are full of mouse/keyboard. I suppose I could try putting the mouse/keyboard into a hub and that would free up a port.

We have a USB SATA caddy on our curriculum server that works pretty flawlessly. I recently got the same model, except it supports USB 3.0, for the admin server and that keeps dropping out. I just went down to school to let a teacher in, who had lost her keys and the backup had failed. Pulling out and replacing the usb lead got it running again but for how long? It's a Dell Optiplex server and it only has 4 usb ports 2 rear and 2 front. All of these are used and I'm wondering if the logical step would be to get a USB 3.0 card for the caddy.

Don't have wheels that look like a medieval church window, with lots of fiddly bits. I had a Senator once and that needed a toothbrush! My car doesn't have alloys. Plastic hubcaps for me, held on with tiewrap. The wife's car has alloys with just 4 big spokes and the jetwasher does a pretty good job on them.

That was it thanks. I never knew that about webmail. We still run 2003 because all of the work modules are based around it and it would mean a whole new set of books. They do all have the compatibility pack installed.

A guest speaker has emailed her presentation and it has been passed to me because nobody knows what to do with it. That now includes me. The attachment file has a .pptx extension but when it is downloaded it is a zip file full of XML files. Can someone point me in the right direction please? I'm just off swimming for the morning ad#nd she's coming in this afternoon!!!
