It's not ours. It's across the road from our place in Portugal and not used in the winter (well not for golf!)

Just show them your video Matt, that's all the training they need

Matt, I once posted a video of my 4 year old grandson going down a BMX start slope and taking off at the bottom. We really hadn't expected him to do it but the flack I took because he wasn't wearing helmet! I removed the video. Now he's five and progressed a bit. I hope I am safe in posting this because he is wearing all the gear.

That's sad. I just took a walk across to the field and there are about a dozen cars and I think half of them are staff. I can still here the base guitar and drums through the double glazing.

Mockfest Tribute Music Festival Droitwich 28th May 2011 They are holding one today in a big field opposite our house. The entrance is via the lane that leads to us and they have used our postcode. So anyone following their satnav will end up on our drive! Luckily, it's just today and the music finishes at 11pm.

I had a diesel Maestro for towing my boat trailer and it was excellent.

A dollop of marmite in with the beans gives beans on toast an added dimension.

He currently has a Canon LBP5050 but it takes forever to print the first page, which is often all he prints. It needs to be fairly compact, quiet and relatively cheap to run. The price isn't so critical, if it meets the other criteria. It doesn't need to be network capability.

Forget solar panels, what we need is playground equipment that generates power. There has to be a way of tapping into all that energy. Kid sized hamster wheels, that sort of thing. Schools could make a far bigger contribution towards energy conservation by turning things off!

Nice riding mattx. I haven't watched it all yet but a couple of points. You could have got past the BMW by going down the cycle lane, I'm sure the cyclist would have got out of the way. That would have got you to the zebra crossing in time to put the fear of God into the pedestrian. You also failed to give the appropriate hand-signal to the driver that forced you onto the wrong side of the bollard. Apart from that, great riding. What camera is it?

We've got some of the HP dc7600s from Dan at WStore. Really pleased with them.

I don't think there is one. I've bought a bit of stuff from 7dayshop and it's all built to a price. I recently got a 2GB MP4 player with camera and FM radio for £13.99 (I'm just recording some films for it now). The video quality is not brilliant (320x240) but it works. I've got it to have something to watch on the plane. The manual is worse than useless and is tells fibs! I got a wireless keyboard for £14 and the mouse died. Their returns procedure was about the easiest if I ever used. It was freepost back and they refunded my money within a week.

Thanks for the Open Source suggestions. We currently use Microlibrarian but as discussed on other threads, their annual support costs are outrageous. And I hope they read this and see how they are going to get their golden goose killed and plucked!

I'm happy with 8Mb as it's such an improvement.

I thought my connection seemed particularly smooth tonight so I just ran a speed test and I'm getting 8Mb. That's twice what I got last time I checked.

I had a fan error message on a dc7800. Called HP and they sent a replacement arrived next day. I fitted the fan, chucked the packaging and put the fan in my spares box, as it still worked. Then I found a load of bumf to do with returning the faulty part. So I've had to find the box, call DHL to arrange collection and get it all ready. All for a 99p part!

Staff + New Laptops = web cams and biometrics
laserblazer replied to Cools's topic in How do you do....it?
Yep, leave the webcam and tell them you can access it remotely. Forget the biometrics. -
