Your OP says that their cloud storage is full. If that's the case, it's set up wrong, so definitely review their O365 configuration.

It's very much designed around NC capabilities - the statements are built in and you track pupils against them. We don't record test results in it, but the point would be that if the teacher has assessed that they can meet the capability statement then they should hit that level in the test. I believe you can customise the statements, but if you need to do that, it's probably the wrong product for you. We use it in a nursery and infant. The feedback I hear (I don't personally use it for progress tracking) is that it is not as strong for EYFS - in particular we can't submit a baseline for children in reception who've been to our nursery without either losing the progress that the nursery recorded or missing out the first half term's progress. In a primary that's probably less of an issue as the focus will be further up the school. Their support is good when you call up and the software and updates are easy to deploy.

This, plus I would be interested to know whether people value MTA qualifications or whether it would just make me look like a beginner. IE it actually devalues the level of experience I would claim.

I'm trying to get the controller software to run as a service, but can't make it use the latest version. I have the Ubiquiti controller installed on a Windows 2016 machine. When I came back at the beginning of this term, all of the APs were showing as disconnected. Having tried various fixes, I took a backup of the settings and uninstalled and reinstalled the controller software and the disconnected issue was fixed. I then updated the firmware on all of the APs. It was then no longer installed as a service, so following the instructions here I reinstated it. However, the controller version regresses from software version 5.9.29.0 to 5.5.19. I followed the instructions on the same page linked to previously to update - essentially uninstall the service via cmd - and as soon as the service is uninstalled, the software version returns to the one previously installed without any further updates. Apart from the fact that I much prefer the new UI, it also shows all of the APs (apart from the one I didn't update yesterday) as requiring firmware update when running as a service - I guess that version of the controller software doesn't know about the latest version of the firmware. Any ideas on how to solve this irritation, or do I just have to wait for Ubiquiti to catch up with themselves.

Ha! I have this and until I used terms in your post for my Google searches, I'd found diddly squat. I was pretty convinced it was the Powerline adapters causing the problem from looking at the flashing network activity LEDs which looked like the "pulsing" crackle I could hear through the speakers. No one else calls it pulsing.... I got rid of it in one room - but changed too many things at the same time to price the theory. I have run Cat 6 cables into the lounge and run them up through 2 outside walls, a ceiling void and into the airing cupboard. That was a year ago - maybe this holiday is time to continue the run into the loft and then down the other side of the house where the BroadBand connection and router are located and even possibly terminate the cables in the wall plates I bought. I chose the "pass through" type: Powerline plug goes directly in the wall socket and the surge protected 10 way adapter plugs into that.

I saw Google Home devices being used in a primary. The teacher said they worked really well for basic internet research. There's definitely a stage at primary where kids can phrase a question and understand an answer well before they're able to enter text in a box and quickly assimilate lots of text from a web page (such as a search results page). I presume an Alexa could be used in the same way.

Bearing in mind that the Telegraph web site is pay-walled, presumably you would have to be logged in to view the article. Therefore they must know exactly who read it and could make the retraction the first thing the customer sees the next time they log in.

For me having home start or equivalent is well worth the extra, having once gone through the hassle of getting my car far enough from home when it needed repair. Also watch out for how far they will recover you and/or the vehicle. A colleague was driving from Cornwall and broke down near Bristol, with 180 miles remaining to home. The policy through the bank would take them 50 miles and then the rest was at a high price per mile. I use GEM motoring assist - not the cheapest, although they have some good introductory offers and I pay a bit more to cover two drivers in any vehicle (although still less than the OP).

I've bought a Lenovo N23 Yoga for personal use at home. I'd like to use a stylus for taking quick notes, but haven't found anything that works satisfactorily. Drawing and marking with a finger is fine, but I've tried the styluses that came with our HP Chromebooks at school and they won't make a mark at all. I also bought some Dimples Excel ones which had good reviews. I can make a mark using them, but only when pressing so hard it friends the screen. Both of them with perfectly on all the Android phones I've tried. Any suggestions on how to adjust sensitivity it alternatively styluses that you've used with this model of Lenovo ?

Get a quote [emoji6]. Cloud services can save money for particular purposes, especially with education pricing - sounds like you're already doing that. Infrastructure as a Service tends not to be cheap.

Make sure you check your notice period with the current supplier. Some of them are staggeringly long.
