Over Easter I moved all our mailboxes from onsite Exchange up to M365. We have a mailbox called "cover" which absent staff send their cover work to. We have a bunch of staff who have access to the mailbox. The main user of it has just been to see me to say that emails keep "just disappearing from it" (fighting sceptical, sarcastic urges here). I'm pretty new to the Purview Audit. What do I look for, and do I look for the activity of the "cover" mailbox, or the other users who have access to it, or all of them? I've already run reports for all activity for today for those users and can't see anything very relevant. Thanks Stuart

One of my teachers has just forwarded me this with a subject of "Joined up thinking?". It gets added to the footer of all emails which go in to Suffolk County Council. I can kind of see his point..... I always think similar when I spend money on line and my bank sends me a text message with a code to enter to confirm it’s me, but then the text also says “NEVER share this code with ANYONE!”. But I need to, that's why you've sent me the text!

Sadly I don't have pictures, but years ago the local paper had a shop front for a while. They would print out headlines and things on A4 and stick them in the window. Every single one had "Sample text here" at the top and bottom.

I've just moved all of my users from onsite up to M365. We had a hybrid configuration. I have one mailbox which wouldn't migrate so I figured I'd just export all the stuff to a PST from the Exchange server, and import it in to their new mailbox. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to create the user a mailbox in M365 (new users I'm obviously fine with!). They have an account up there which is sync'd from AD, they have an Exchange licence, but in their "Mail" properties it just says "This user's on-premises mailbox hasn't been migrated to ‎Exchange Online‎. The ‎Exchange Online‎ mailbox will be available after migration is completed". How do I tell it I don't want to migrate them? I've found a couple of things telling me to delete the Exchange attributes from their AD account, but that sounds a little scary and not official. County have changed all my DNS stuff now so I believe that M365 can no longer "see" my onsite stuff in the way of the hybrid setup, but the AD sync is still sync'ing. Thank you Stuart

I've used GP to set it to auto, just wondered what we could have possibly done which made the change.

Morning, We are with SBB and NetSweeper. We have the wagent rolled out everywhere. Since yesterday we are now seeing the wagent service set to manual and stopped on more and more devices. This is staff and student devices, in different OUs, and has the side effect of traffic not being logged against names, and staff dropping down to a student level of filtering because they aren't auth'd. Any idea what we could have done to suddenly have this? We've been working for months with the agent working quite happily. About to log a ticket with SBB too. Thank you Stuart

Currently sitting on a hybrid Exchange/O365 email setup. All the students are already up in the cloud for their emails. Over Easter I plan to migrate all the staff accounts up there too, and change the MX record to point at O365. Anyone got suggestions of default rules and what-not that you've setup for policies, blocks, filtering etc.? I'm obviously looking myself too, but this is always a good place to gather info! Stuart

Does anyone know if @SchoolsBroadband have confirmed this as a customer wide issue yet, or are they treating each ticket logged as a separate issue?

I'm getting that too, and now can't get to O365 admin at all.

Also SBB here. I'm not getting timeouts on pages, but sometimes an image doesn't load or the formatting isn't quite right. My tech said to me this morning she was having similar issues too.

SBB here. Page tries to load for about 2 minutes and then doesn't. No error though. It has found the favicon though!

Tried to call them to report it about half an hour ago. Chose option 2, then option 2, and then got an engaged tone!

I don't think I like the idea of the screen share as I wouldn't trust staff not to share their Outlook or SIMS with the student! We too have a bunch of the IPEVO V4K visualisers. The staff love them. Thank you all for your input. It does confirm pretty much what I was thinking but when it comes to things like this I will never assume. Good thought about the blurring etc. Stuart

We have a student with CFS so is at home pretty much all the time as they are unable to get to school. It has been requested that we look in to how they can be included in lessons. We use Teams, but is this an option? Is it as simple as chuck a webcam and mic in the classroom and stream it to the student, or does it fall under GDPR etc. as we are streaming voices and images of everyone else in the room. OK, we're only streaming it to someone who would otherwise be in that room anyway and see/hear it all in an ideal world, but I just thought I should check......... Obviously checking with DPO at our school for input as well. Thank you. Stuart

I go brand name on these. I have never found a cheap one that's lasted a sensible amount of time.

We can now get in to NetSweeper again, and since it's started working our entire Internet feels quicker than it's ever been! NetSweeper certainly is. Still no update on their portal.......

From my experience, applying the policy will stop users starting new chats. It cannot stop them replying to existing chats they already had ongoing. Is that what you're seeing?

I assumed that's where it would need to go, but everything I could find took you through adding it internally, so that's what I did. Felt wrong at the time as. Reckon it needs to be external too?

Picked this back up at last! I did have an expired certificate. I've removed the federation and am now trying to re-add. I've added it and am now running the "Manage Federation" wizard and it's getting through to the end of the wizard but then the proof of domain ownership is failing. "Make sure the TXT record for the specified domain blah blah blah". If I run "Nslookup.exe -querytype=txt " on the exchange server, it returns the info I'd expect to see when comparing it with running the "Get-FederatedDomainProof" command. I have two onsite DNS servers, both have the txt record in them. What did I miss?
