  1. Morning, I'd like to search my O365 tenancy for activity from a specific IP. Is it possible? Not getting much luck Googling...... Thank you Stuart
  2. The other thing to keep in mind with full LED is because they flicker (but obviously quicker than we can see) it does mean you can get photos with a red/blue/green wash depending on where they are in their cycle.
  3. I think when you do it, we're going to need before and after pics!
  4. We're watching a webinar on Nextgen tomorrow afternoon. Anyone got any new opinions since this thread?
  5. Is it because the other set point top right hasn't been hit for some reason? I assume they are "OR"? Looks like you have a heat exchanger in there. Wish we had one. Caused all sorts of problems without it!
  6. We use an iPad. Staff are familiar with them, they can rename them once they've finished recording, and then air drop them off.
  7. OP hasn't logged on for over seven years......
  8. Strange as I found them nothing but helpful. Might be worth going back to them. They even whitelisted our external IP so we don't need to go through the process of verifying our location through an app or what-not.
  9. Nice idea, but it won't stop people taking laptops from a trolley they haven't booked, and then us knowing where the laptops are.
  10. Well yes, except - /forums/behind-red-door/86953-request-week-475.html#post2016092
  11. My current key fobs...... Sadly I'm not sure a fake keytag would make a lot of difference as I don't think most of the staff would know what a keytag is, and I don't think the students would care.
  12. Hi all, We have four laptop trollies and a booking system for people to use. Despite this, people take the wrong keys, don't return them, give them to other people, etc. I begrudge spending money on a technical solution for what is a simple people problem, but wondered if there is a cheapish alternative to something like the tile which would connect to the Wi-Fi or something? The cheap ones seem to only use Bluetooth so won't really help me if it's been left the other side of the school I'm guessing? Thank you Stuart
  13. Worth tagging @tom_newton or someone?
  14. This is what I'm wondering too.......
  15. It's a lot simpler than that. They've just been added to the wrong network by people. That aspect of it is not a technical issue.
  16. The MAC addresses in Ruckus are the same as in my Windows DHCP server. No rogue APs, but again even if they had, why are they getting an IP from my DHCP server when my Denies are in place?
  17. Absolutely, and I am by no means saying "don't", just that it's a dodgy area that needs handling very carefully.
  18. Ideally yes, but we're not there yet. Nope, they're all controlled by Ruckus. Plus if that was the case my Deny rules in DHCP should stop them getting an IP shouldn't they?
  19. Morning, We now have two Wi-Fi networks, one is for our devices and so obviously has access to the network (DHCP handled by Windows server), the other is BYOD and only has access to the Internet (DHCP handled by Fortigate firewall). I have a few iPhones which for whatever reason are on the wrong one. They spoof their MAC address so I can't just "Deny" them in DHCP. One of my tech's found a reddit page saying that DHCP accepts wildcards and spoofed MACs all have a second character of either 2, 6, A, or E, but genuine MACs never do. I've added 02*, 12*, 22*, up to F2*, and then 06* and up, 0A* and up, and 0E* and up to Deny in DHCP but they're still happily renewing their IP addresses. DHCP doesn't show me their names either unfortunately as their typically called helpful things like "Carol's phone". Any thoughts on how I boot these off? Thank you Stuart
  20. Messaging parents is a dodgy one, and I'm not convinced what the right/wrong was is of doing this. Just keep in mind that if you message them a load might turn up and then potentially you or police have crowd control on your list too.
  21. This sounds too easy, but it is actually that easy.
  22. Yet they're still chucking out "Improving Safeguarding In School Emergencies" and other similar emails........
  23. Popped out for a walk and a cuppa yesterday. I've been assured this is a White Coffee.
  24. If you let people shenan once, they will probably shenanigan!
